It is apparent to me that PCF thinks very highly of this Ponderosa $25 chip.

Let's show it some love by building a fantasy set around it. Suggest a $5 chip please. Just one. Not two, or five, one chip you think would go best. Some basic requirements.

Paulson THC any color any spots
Casino Chip (whether available in quantity or not, who cares, it is a fantasy set)
Inlaid $5 that actually existed
A PHOTO (not necessarily yours, and if it is from chipguide, you must say it is from cHiPgUiDe)

I'll organize some voting around my favorite suggestions. Then I will look for a $1 and $100 too probably in the same way, if this goes well.

Hmm. This challenges me because I’m a spot progression addict and 818 in the $25 limits things.

But here’s an interesting nominee. I am sure there are much better out here but this can get the convo started. My photo but hoping someone has a much better photo.

Need to run the 2024 favorite denom/color chip in each slot!

I'm going to break your one-pic rule, simply because idk if we want to continue Nevada/Reno, red denom, all hub vs new shape. Makes it tough to build out.

If all-Reno, red denom, and a new shape (one round per set):

If criteria doesn't matter and we're just going fire, then the below (hub and 8 inserts), although if we want red denom then Bullock. It's just so simple and classy, like the Ponderosa. Was considering TI $5 but didn't like the fit as much (and wanted to keep the $1 in the back pocket for that eventual post :ninja:).

I am fine with mixed inlay shapes. Since this exercise assumes inlay replacement for artwork consistency, I think we should be able to wave our magic deck of cards and make the inlays identical when we are done.

The problem with gigantic blue and white edgespots on a $5 chip is...what $1 chip do you use? Otherwise I would suggest Bird Farm $5.

Idk, I love a progression where the primary color of one chip is in the spots of the next. The red is dominant enough that I don't think there's a dirty stack issue.

I may be somewhat biased however...

I did qualify my opinion with "giantic". More than half the edge of the Golden Eagle, for example, is blue and white. The Players $5 and similar chips like your red ones have tiny splatter spots by comparison. I don't think there is a pic of Golden Eagle in the thread yet, so here is one.

Then again, I’m probably being too rigid. Here is the Pondo with a Bird Farm $5 and LCO $1. This really is just fine.

I've seen em before and based on the stack pic @Rbonus012 posted I don't think it'd be too big an issue for me, but from what I've seen on the forum I'm less concerned about dirty stack issues than most others. It depends on the spots of the blue or white chip you'd use though, if they also have very chunky spots with the same colors it could be an issue. But a paris or ballys $1 would look great with a GE $5 imo.
