So I have caught the chipping bug, specifically the Rat Rod chipping bug. I love the idea of collecting individual chips but also being able to play with those chips. I have read all the threads here about Rat Rods and just love it. I have definitely been inspired by @FDLmold louBdub and others. I am a big fan of the WTHCs. I hope to own a WTHC cash set one day. I used the WTHC color scheme with the blue $1s, red $5s, green $25s, and black $100s. This way I can build both sets side by side together. As you can see. most of my green $25s are currently WTHCs. For my Rat Rod fracs I'm going with yellow hot stamp $.25s. I have a rack of those on the way and I'll update when they arrive. I'm very close to having a playable heads up set. I hope to find some white (or yellow) $.25 WTHC fracs eventually for my WTHC set. Once I get enough of each color I will start eliminating the multiples. I'm trying to stick with Paulson inlays and hot stamps. I prefer to have edge marks. I prefer THCs but I've allowed a few house molds and RHCs for now. Big TY to @FDLmold and @JWC for all the help! The Rat Rod cash set is growing! Here is what came in this week. Thanks to everyone who has helped me! There are a lot of very nice folks around here! When I started this, I barely had an understanding of the difference between a THC and a RHC. I've realized that I much prefer the THCs. I'm being much more selective with what I buy now and definitely avoiding the RHCs. For the time being, I will leave them in until I have a playable set and then I will start culling. After all the RHCs are culled, I will start culling the duplicates. I have many more chips on the way including a rack of yellow hot stamp $.25s coming from Europe!

And here is the complete current set all together!

Here are some current numbers. I've culled some and received some.

One full rack of beautiful fracs. (I know a guy who has another rack for sale and I desperately want to buy it!)

28 unique blue THC $1s. 53 total blue THC $1s including duplicates. I have culled all the house molds and RHCs.

52 unique red THC $5s. 89 total red THC $5s including duplicates. I have culled all the house molds and RHCs.

10 green THC $25s total. Only one duplicate. I have culled all the house molds and RHCs.

7 unique black THC $100s. No duplicates. I have culled all the house molds and RHCs.

That makes 97 unique THC chips! All of these chips are THC molds with the WTHCs being the only exceptions. I'm getting very close to a playable cash set and it is very exciting!

Some of the culled chips are going to market but some I'm keeping for my collection. Even though these won't be part of my Rat Rod set, they are still really nice chips!

New additions! That blaze orange $5 won't be going in the Rat Rod set but it's a nice chip! The WTHC cash set is slowly coming together. It will likely take a while to finish. The Rat Rod is the priority.

I culled a few more chips. As much as I love the WTHC chips, the $1 really sticks out in my Rat Rod set. It is just too dark and there were a few others that were too dark. They could easily be mistaken for black $100s in a stack. Also, some of my red $5s that have dark inlays and metal inlays are being culled. They just stick out too much and don't flow with the set. I have a couple barrels of unique $5s on the way and that will put me well over a full rack of red $5s!

I am leaving for Europe for 2 weeks in a few days, but just found your thread and I have quite a few chips left over from building my Rat Rod set suit your needs. Especially the yellow fracs. I have a good number of extra, probably close to an entire rack of THC canary yellow fracs of different casinos... I also have some blue ones left over and possibly some reds as well, although another rat rod builder recently bought a lot of my extra reds. I will be back after 9/11 so if you are interested still at that time, shoot me a PM. Good to see another rat rod set coming along!!

I also still have both styles of Rat Rod dealer buttons available, so if you want those as well, let me know...
