Bridge/Jumbo Index Issue (3 Viewers)

Right, of course not. But if you're keeping track of feedback, not only do these new cards lack the texture that the others had, they're noticeably stiffer. I'm not interested in cards this stiff and slick, so I might have to stock up on the Victorians or the Casinos, because that stock is glorious.
Great customer service - I appreciate all your efforts and your openness throughout the process.

Such is the plight of a business owner: can’t make everyone happy all the time.

I personally love the new decks; reminds me of the Classic Cultures, which are some of my favorite setups of all time. But I also realize that others will disagree.

Love the CC's - looking forward to these. I prefer the classic card look more than the CC's.

Options that I have fortunately for bridge/jumbo index. If you like a smooth texture go with the Classic Baroques and if you prefer the textured feel, go with the casinos.
I don't want to be misunderstood - I'm not unhappy with any cards from you. I just have a preference towards the casinos.

Got the new cards today. Beautiful as expected though a bit stiff as others have noted. Not Faded Spade stiff but a tad stiffer than Gemaco Superflex.

I personally loved the Classic Culture stock with the casinos a close second.

Got the new cards into play last weekend. The opinions were overwhelmingly positive, with only 2 dissenters. The 2 dissenters wanted the deck from a few months back. Those were the old Desjgns. How do you explain "Oh, those cards were marked?" :bag:

“There was a printing issue that the manufacture determined presented a security concern, so he replaced all of the decks.

Now shut the hell up; it’s your action!”

:p

How do you explain "Oh, those cards were marked?" :bag:

"Those cards were printed by Modiano who refuses to stand by their product. It quickly became apparent that the prinitng on certain cards made it easy to distinguish from the back. I won't be using those cards any more and I won't ever buy Modianos again, and you shouldn't either."

[Edit] Or what @justsomedude said...[/edit]

You don't have to say they were 'marked,' and you can say with a high level of truthfulness that you didn't know there were any problems when they were out in to play at your game. But spread the word about Modiano and their business practices.

I'm slow to post here. Got my cards last week.

I swear I read one of @desjgn 's posts saying he was going to ship all the Canadian orders with Tony's. Maybe that got too complicated, but I can't believe he paid $38 to ship me my 6 replacement setups! How is that even possible??

I didn't even really need 6 setups, I was just trying to help get the kickstarter off the ground. The next time I sell some chips I will offer at least two setups of these cards to the buyer if they will make a donation to Jason since I did not do so the first time around.

By the way I did not pay an additional 10% tariff on this shipment. Just the usual taxes/handling fee.

Thank you for everything Jason. When I'm in need of more cards (or you come out with some new ones) I'll be sure to look you up again. It'll be even easier for me knowing that Tony should have some in stock :)

Sorry Frank, I didn't know that you were getting some replacements decks as well otherwise I would have had them shipped to me as well. I also didn't pay any extra duties on the setups, only GST as usual since I bring these over the border as commercial goods.

I guess it's my fault then. I made an ass-umption and it took me a couple of seconds to realize what the package with the cards in it was. Next time I'll be sure to speak up!

@desjgn I was waiting and waiting to post.

Long story short, I updated Jason of my changed shipping address since the GB, Jason mistakenly forgot I had updated him and sent my package to my old address. Knowing the people who purchased my old house, I never ever expected those cards to be forwarded to the proper address (we moved in the same city). So I politely reminded Jason and he was instant with sending a new package for my order and apologizing for the mistake. No harm, no foul.

I was a little perturbed last week as my package said delivered July 14th, I checked, and checked, and checked, NOTHING.

I was maybe 1-2 days away from accepting USPS was to blame and placing another order, as I dont know what the hell was going on but I certainly know not Jasons fault.

Unsuspectingly today, my package arrived (the reshipment from Jason, not my old home) and I couldnt be more pleased.

Thanks again for exceptional customer service.

A great finish to an epic adventure! The frame has red piping and a black base to pick up the card colors. Now I need to get Jason up to MN to sign the uncut sheet!

I have 50 decks (25 set-ups) of the original Desjgn cards that have the color issue. These decks have never been opened or inspected. Please send me some ideas as to a good way of giving them away (hopefully involves some sort of a charity). I will gather all the ideas and decide in a week or two. I also have 6 decks (3 set-ups) that are open and were used only once. None of decks/setups include the original box.

Sure some nursing home (or community center) would utilize them and half the participants probably can’t see well enough to notice the difference, if they do they probably can’t remember what cards are different.

I was not involved and have read the whole story just now. Oh boy …
I always say that what makes ANY business great. Is not that they don’t make mistakes, it’s that they know how to fix it when there is one.
This!

@desjgn It seems you’ve done a remarkable job. Keeping people up to date all the time despite these troubles, doing a customer service many companies wouldn't and then some. Well done! I’ll support your 4 color project for sure :)

Thank you. I tried my best; those who backed the project tried their best to show the issue that was present with the first run to no avail.

It was more important to me to keep my commitment to every backer and if the same situation happens again, I will not hesitate, no matter the cost to me, to get the cards produced properly.
