Made myself a little breakfast Sunday morning. Used a leftover baked potato for the hash browns, added some cheddar and a couple chopped chives to the egg. My girl left the house to go do something, so I sent her this picture. That'll teach her to have a life...

normally I don't work out on Friday's. I was up early today and said screw it. Hit the treadmill for a solid 35 minute of incline hiking :) After the workout I found two slices of bacon in the fridge. OUTSTANDING. Bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. Wifey comes down a few minutes after eating and said that the bacon was for dinner tonight to cook with the kale :) Not anymore.

So what time is she sending you to the store?

Actually, she manages a bakery within a grocery store. If she wants wilted kale for dinner she'll be grabbing the bacon :)

At work I drive by this new coffee shop several times a week. I just grabbed a house blend, black coffee from Black Diesel (have to love the name for a coffee shop). It appeared the owner was working the counter. I said I had never had a black diesel coffee before. What would he recommend. After asking how I drank it (black) he poured me a large coffee, said it was on the house, and hope that I would enjoy it enough to return.

Their standard prices seem a little high for a black coffee (2.45). I think this is an acceptable price for a once a week purchase (I usually drink the rot gut in the office).

I like my coffee too. I need to re-read about that "crack coffee" someone brings to berg's games, Need a recipe...

Nothing special here. I eat oatmeal w/ cinnamon and Eggbeaters w/ Old Bay just about every morning. Boring right? o_O

oatmeal is one meal I do not like. Its a texture thing for me.

Wifey keeps trying to get me to go to egg beaters.

I came home from swimming this morning and the wifey had a great breakfast waiting for me.

Spinach, tomato, onion, and feta omelet with spicy Italian sausage and a half a grapefruit.

Ok so this is one of my holy grail breakfast places. In a seedy part of San Francisco but it is amazing. Tiny restaurant where the line winds around the outside of the building and a wait over an hour is common.

Dottie's True Blue Cafe

There's always a specials board.

I had a wild boar sausage with poached eggs whole wheat toast and roasted potatoes.

Also a 1920s prohibition whiskey blueberry crumb cake which was the star

Bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich one of these weird thin round bread things my wife buys (we were out of bagels and real bread unfortunately). Always some extra bacon on the side + a half a slice for the dog :)

Small place down the street from me, not much seating but cozy and well lit, also a nice ball pit. We start with an imitation corn meal dusted muffin, toasted, add pen raised sausage, some hormone infused bacon, and some processed "yellow" (not sure of species) cheese next to a machine made potato pattie fried in grease from yesterday...for flavor. Gourmet mini lake of cholula for dipping and presentation.

Don't judge me, it's Sunday and a mcmuffin, football on tv, and chip cleaning makes for a perfect morning...
