They are new. Secondaries are almost always going to be new. And $1.16/chip for new Paulsons are a great deal, IMHO.

As for posting in the classifieds, it’s not just the age of the account, there is a number of posts you have to make to be able to post there. Good luck and join in, it’s a great group of people around here.

I couldn’t stop myself from grabbing a thousand of the HSI $1a for a limit set. Mint casino spotted Paulsons for .60/chip. How could I not pull the trigger?

I absolutely don’t need them. I’ve already got three limit sets, but damn, what a deal. Can’t wait to see them in person.

Very glad to have gotten one of the HSI secondary cash sets today. I could stare at those $5s all day. It will be my first Paulson chips/set! Now to figure out fracs...

most limit sets have 2 chips. a large numer of the workhorse chips and a small number of a alrger denom to color up.

so a 2/4 set will have tons of 1's and a rack of 25 or 100

Yeah, I know. I was just saying, $1,000 in chips usually covers my crowd, so I don’t need big chips. But, if I were so inclined, I recommend the secondary HSI 100’s relabelled as $20’s.

People who build limit sets around here usually have a large chip... even if it’s just a couple barrels,

900 x $2.00 chips
100 x $20.00 chips

Or anything like that.

Chipco T5 house sets went quick

Got 60 of the 500 primary’s went back for chipco and boom went the dynamite

I guess this answers the above question..... limited quantity.

We have over 280 orders so far.

Random speculation.... just for hoohaas & the mental masturbation of it all...

280 orders at that point. & there were quite a few multiple orders from the same buyer. But, let's be generous, say 250 unique buyers & that's probably a stretch.

Based on the chatter I'd say the majority were here for chips & set building/completion rather than for whole sets. & the Paulson sets were obviously far & away the star attraction in the whole set category, ChipCo demand isn't as great. Also, tournament set demand is less than cash set. Still, due to condition, the 28c/chip price was something of an attraction. So there is that to factor in.

(side note: I wonder how many who aren't all that familiar with judging ceramic chip condition/wear may be somewhat underwhelmed when they finally get the sets?)

Scattering this all over the ice & sorting through it, I'd probably guess 25-30 buyers for the ChipCo House tourney sets. So, even if all of them bought the max allowed that's 75-90 sets.

& by "The Price is Right" rules, I'm probably over.

This is what I'm doing

Lighting isn't great, but the s&k 50c is a different shade of purple. Using the Jack's for a 20.

The plan is making this a limit/nl set.

100x50c
800x1's
100x20's

Will use this for nl too since the biggest game we've had 600 in the pot.

Inlay replacement is not the easiest thing in the world (except for some of the plastic chips from Bud Jones, which are quite easy). Since the secondaries are mint, I'm sure that you could do an overlabel with an unlaminated sticker without a problem. However, be warned that it's not always 100% reversible.
