Cash Game Biggest Pot You Ever Played... (2 Viewers)

LOL Guinness, not at that losing hand, but at the dynamics of small blind structure uncapped games. I've been in several games where the norm is to buy really big or buy near the min and try to play short stack-stick-it-in poker while the big stacks are trying to isolate each other to play massive pots. Like you said, very strange dynamics, but it usually brings up some interesting spots that add flavor to the game.

This was how it was back in the day at foxwoods. There were 2 NL games. 5/5 NL uncapped, and 1/2 with a buy in of 40-100. Couldn't rebuy unless below 40. It was pretty retarded back then.

I was playing at Sandia in ABQ about 5 years ago, and they had 2 tables running. 2/4 limit, and 5/5 NL uncapped. Bought in small at the NL, as I had only $2k on me, and wanted more than 1 bullet.

Last night after work I hopped in a 10-25 plo game that I was only playing because of one specific player.... and I got into a really big hand with him.

There was an EP limp then a pro makes it 100 I call the HJ with qq33hhds. Co calls. Btn calls one of the blinds calls then ep back raises ai to 375. Calls around to btn who makes it 1000. It calls around to me and hj had a calling chip in his hand, so I call.

Flop aq5ddd. It checks around to button who bet around 3k (big pile of chips and nobody asked for a count) and it folds around to me. I jam, Co folds, btn snap calls.

Turn kd and river jx.

I table my qq and btn and ep both fold.

Biggest pot I've ever played, right there. Just over 15k.

And no, I wouldn't have played it this way at any other table against any other players.

OK, my head just exploded. Even if the world's biggest fish, what could button POSSIBLY have there that doesn't win???

My guess is top two or bottom set. Top/bottom is possible. I knew he didn't have aa from the of action and bet sizing, when he fired the flop I knew his range was wide enough I was willing to gamble against the possibility of a flush. If anyone else at the table put in chips I fold flop...

About $200 last night. .50/1 game limps to me on the SB with A10dd so I raise to $6 and get 3 callers. Flop Kd5sJd. I led out $16 and get two callers. Turn 8d. I check (button is massive LAG who is betting 99% if checked to) instead BB goes all in for about $20. Btn calls. I jam for $35-40 more. Btn calls with Js6d stating he has a flush draw still.

Bb turns over 55 for flopped set and rivers quads on me.

Oh well, I hero called his all in later with 2nd bottom pair against his bottom pair.

So the hand. Playing in a big 4 handed plo game that was straddled utg, and blind bet by the button.

I call 678tccdd from bb. Straddle pots it. Btn calls, I call. Flop 568sdc. C, c, Btn bets half pot. Call call. Turn 9s. I c, utg bets 1/2 pot, Btn folds, I raise about 2/3 pot, utg shoves for a few thousand more and I call. He has astsax7x.

Jh on the river and we chop it up. We both made a little bit of money from the button.

I don't even remember the hand, but I remember the absurdity of having a 2100+ pot in a 50c / 50c game.

I also remember I lost, but that's all I can remember, lol.

I just played a big hand 5 way all-In 11 or 12k (main) pot where the fire alarm went off in the casino while I was pushing in 2600 on the turn.

We all just assumed it was a false alarm bc drunks pull the alarm from time to time. We just saw on the opening to the 10pm news that the fire department had responded to an actual fire here.
