Beyond tells (2 Viewers)

Hi all, I was just wondering if anyone had experience using the Beyond Tells poker program (beyondtells.com)? They seem to charge $2000 USD for a lifetime membership. Does anyone who has subscribed to the program have feedback on whether it is worth it? They don't seem to have any trial programs, so any comments would be appreciated. Thanks!

$2000 up front for an online program of any type is asking for trouble (IMO). Odds are strong that the program will go offline within several months or a few years at most.

Sounds like a lot to pay. If your study on strategy is completed and you play high enough stakes maybe you could make the money back.
youtube page has 228 videos. Mostly short. If you watch those you can at least get a feel for their paradigm and teaching style.

I’ve watched some of this guys stuff a while back. Not terrible advice but the channel hasn’t uploaded in 2 years. That tells me that the yt money didn’t come so they decided to pivot.

Don’t know how long they been selling courses but it’s 100% gonna be a waste. Probably all the same shit that he discussed in his many YouTube videos.

Reminds me of the fitness grifters. Get people to buy the coarse and it’s just copy&pasted basic info and stuff you can already find online.

(Physical) tells are overrated imo. Better to look for betting patterns, bet sizings, timing tells etc.

I can’t imagine that stuff (whatever it is) is worth anything close to $2000.

Any of these “things” are only good if you are paying attention. All the time. In addition, you have to be ready to take advantage of them in an instant. If you are drinking and on your phone all the time you would be better off applying this money to your phone bill.

Yeaahh, buy Zachary Elwood's books or watch his shows. I love tells and they help guide a decision but $2,000 is insane, put that towards Galfond's course or something and you'll get at least 10x the value. Very silly cost benefit analysis.

edit to add, @ekricket is right. Half of live tells are in Elwood's books, the other half is just focusing on everyone's timing/tells/bets/showdowns at all times and compartmentalizing that information.

I did the Beyond Tells free intro course “The Behavioral Edge” a few months back and it was really interesting. It helps create a better “mindset” at the table when it comes to observing and reading. I liked it a lot.

With that being said, I didn’t pull the trigger on the full 2k course though.
