I haven't seen this discussed anywhere, and figured I'd get some input from others that may know best.

I'm looking to buy some blank chips from CPC to be hot stamped at a later date. Would oiling the chips before hand cause issues with the stamp being fixated onto the chip? Is mineral oil on hotstamps safe?

Appreciate any input especially from those that have dealt with this before!

First stamp, then oil.
This would be the natural order if you had ordered hot-stamps from CPC, anyway.

There is adhesive involved at the surface of the stamp and the chip. The foil is not fused into the chip, it is “glued” into the depression made by the heated stamp, using the heat from the stamp. Anything that can hinder a gluing process might be a problem.
