I’m getting ready to ship a set a 500 chips, what’s the best service to use FedEx UPS or USPS?

USPS medium flat rate box.

You can fit 6 small flat rate boxes into a medium flat rate box. Put one rack of chips, padded, into each SFRB, with one small box just filled with padding. Tape the the top and bottom of the box, then tape around the side of the box to secure the top/bottom tape and to reinforce the glued edge of the box to prevent splitting.

No better way to ship chips, imo.

^ This. Plus the Flat Rate boxes are provided for free at the USPS.

Thanks for this info!!!

For heavy items like a set of chips, I like to do a medium flat rate box IN a medium flat rate box.
First, tape up the bottom flaps of two MFRB's. Then, lightly crush/round-over the 4 bottom corners of one box, and slide it into the other box. It will be tight, but you will have doubled-up the thickness and made the final shipping box MUCH stronger and able to handle a lot more abuse.
When everything is packed, use lots of tape in all directions. Tape is cheap...chips are not.

Ugh, just saw this was a necropost. Hope this worked out for the OP last summer!
