Hello folks,
I live in Maple Ridge, BC and as the title says I’m looking for the best Casino or card club around the Greater Vancouver Area. From my google searching it looks like there’s not a whole lot of options and not a lot of reviews to see if it’s worth the drive. From the looks of it, starlight casino in New Westminster or Parq casino in Vancouver may be the best. Any first hand experience/reviews welcome. I’ve never played anywhere other than the home games I host and would like to give it a shot.

I recently played at Cascades, in Langley.

What a dive, if you ask me. Dark, poorly lit, bunch of regular nits who just babble on and on. It really was a drag. I played maybe 30mins and left.

The tables are terrible. Too sticky. Can’t lift the cards without a struggle. It was a sucky experience for the rake they charge. I was not offered any drinks or even service.

The chips, boy let me tell ya, and I know I’m a snob at this point, for cards and chips, but the chips were downright ugly. I am not a Bud Jones fan, but the colors are dull, some sort of putrid green and tomato red. Tina’s would be a step up. I just don’t like the vacuum suck nature of the stacks when handling.

What else, too many slots right next to the tables. I get sick of all that electro trash nonsense when I’m trying to play.

It’s been a couple years since I played in the casino, but I’ll definitely try Parq, Starlight, and finally Grand Villa in Vancouver.
