This set is my tribute to the The Post chips, my favorite chips. Since it's a California card-room, I decided to go with faux-shaped inlays, a black logo and a red denom. That's why I choose the SunFly's PolyClay line. It's very good platform to mimic clay shaped inlay chips. Since they are fully printed ceramic (there is no label like on the PolyInno - hybrid - line), there is no color-matching issues between the chip color and the inlay color. For the mold, I decided to go with the "Cards" mold because of the reference to a cardroom.
Regarding the name, I chose "The Bank" because :
(1) it's short (like The Post) ;
(2) it still refers to an important building you can find in town ;
(3) it has a meaning for me (I always worked in the financial industry).
I am going to have a tough time voting in the finals. I absolutely love the final two designs. The only thing keeping this one from being a slam dunk for me was the lack of fracs. (you could do a grey like a fog or a storm or something), but I do still laugh at The Princess Bride after all these years.
Seriously, make me a deal, if you win this tournament @Nuhockey, do a 25c or something for this set. Forreals. I think it would be a million times better. (also I'm too cheap/poor to do a weekly game with a buy-in that would require a minimum bet of $2 each time)
@SteveHNo96 I have a custom CPC cash set with .25 and .50 Fracs. The Chinese Manufacturer of these chips make it cheap enough where I could add on cheaply. They are the samme manufacturer as the cards mold GB and Scrub Donkeys. I have 3 tournament sets and may do another cash set with Fracs. So Fracs for the princess bride set may have to wait:
