The last one just turned 21 last month, so everyone is legal now 😅

We're about half young dudes under 25 (including the host), and half guys approaching 50. I don't know if there's ever been anyone at the table in his 30's.

A couple different games. One is mostly senior citizens and I'm the youngest (being younger than Gen X). So average age is... 65 or 70? Another is mid 30s.

I hope some younger folks are picking up NLHE and not just PLO, so we have games in the future when I'm the one jonesing for the blue plate special.

Seems like millennials are leading the way which makes sense since the Moneymaker era hit as they were in their late teens and the resurgence of poker is now, when most of them have more disposable income.

I'm 46. That range of my regular players is 46-65. I have a few semi-regs younger than me, but my average player is probably early 50s. A few of players pushing 60+.

My long standing regulars are all retired. But all the new inquiries I get are from twenty and forty somethings! because we play on a weeknight, it is tough for people in the kid-raising thirty somethings. Once the kids are old enough to be home along, people are looking for things to do that they enjoy!

Early 40s when we can get the wives to let us play!

Old enough that we prefer afternoon games!
I am definitely not super old but I prefer afternoon games too! I guess I'm old enough that sleep matters... but young enough to stay up late playing poker anyway if that's my only option.

Our youngest this year was 12, and played 1/4 of the games (with her own money, her mother assures us). The oldest was 75. A few player have kids in grade school. One player is pregnant with their first. another player just had their first grandchild.

Multigenerational for the win. :cool

Mid 30s but it’s so damn hard to align schedules to get a game these days! Spouses, kids, schools sports etc

That's a win for multigen player pools. Different life stages so a decent chunk of people will always be available at certain times, just not the same chunk every time. Though the disposable income part does skew older.

I am just set on always recruiting and getting recs from trusted players. It's a volume thing by and large.

Surprised to see the results. Feels like when playing, folks that have the most social commitments/difficulty with regular attendance are the 30-39 range.

Super subjective small pool example, but seems like that’s often when babies have begun to pop out and start running around.

And even without baby, still young enough where your wife doesn’t hate you yet and still wants to hang out Friday/Saturday nights  :ROFLMAO:

I just hit 50 this year and bulk of the crew is within a couple years either way, but our newest players are younger, like 30ish.

The Moxie Poker League has about 30 constituents. Of those, 1 guy is in his late 20s, a couple more are in their 30s, 4 (including myself) are in their 40s and the rest are split pretty evenly between being in their 50s and 60s.

It makes sense. Degen activities on a Tuesday night are much easier when you're an empty nester with the disposable income to support your hobbies.

There is merit to this trust me!! In our twenties me and the fellas were playing every weekend, now in our mid 30s it’s driving our kids to soccer or hockey practise ! And yes spend little time with the wife to keep them happy lol We find the time but not like it used to be 10 years ago lol

sampled from members of this forum. Poll is missing the under 20 college games.

My whole group is quite young. I’m the one that host at age 25. The youngest we have out is 22 and oldest is 30. It’s tough trying to find more players!
