Av8tion Poker: A Photo Story (2 Viewers)

Day 4 of de-labeling is complete... about halfway through, I was interrupted by an unexpected surprise... the plaques came in 3 days early! I now have all the chips and plaques for the tournament set, and I'm only short 400 chips on the cash set... although there's still a lot of de-labeling and re-labeling to do before everything is done... I was able to complete all of the Kash 100s today, and I was able to get through 2 barrels of the Ysabel $2's as well.

Right now... my hand is hurting because of the extreme difficulty in removing the plastic from the remaining chips, so I may or may not take a break for a day depending on how I feel. I have 120 Ysabel 2's left along with 500 Ysabel 1's and 200 cinci 1's... all of which ave the harder than average plastic removal... so I'm expecting at best 5-6 barrels a day if I'm lucky...

On the label front, we are unable to match the gold of the denominations with the gold on the Av8tion logo... so we are working on two different options... one is to make the denominations silver and the other is to match the denom color with the color of the chip... as demonstrated below:

As the "finished-pending labels" pile I'm taking these pictures of continues to grow, I'm definitely feeling that progress is being made and we are nearing the home stretch...

More updates tomorrow, as I'll hopefully have the Ysabel $2's completed meaning the entire tournament set would be finished and ready for labeling... until next time!

Day 5 of de-labeling complete... the cinci $1s proved a little easier to do than the Ysabel $2's.. so I was able to do all 200 of them today along with one more barrel of the Ysabel $2's...

Tomorrow, I'm going to take apart a couple of the Ysabel $1s to see which one is tougher to remove... if it's about the same, I'll finish off the $2s tomorrow and do a couple barrels of $1s if I have time... if the $1s are easier I'll blow through them in about 2-3 days and then do a barrel or so of the $2s a day... either way, I'm expecting to be done with the 600 remaining chips by Wednesday-Thursday when my 400 Isle $5's are supposed to come in...

No updates on the labels today, so that's about it for today's progress report... last but not least, here's some cringe that will probably get me banned from the forum...

More updates tomorrow, almost 1200 chips have been processed... with 1,000 more to go... we've passed the halfway mark!

Day 6 of de-labeling complete... one problem I've been having with removing the labels on the Ysabels has been solved... my tip on my xacto knife was broken off so I didn't have a good way to pry underneath the plastic.. now I've been more aware of the tip of the knives and change them out when they break... so now i'm getting about 30 minutes per barrel with their de-labeling.. which is a pretty solid pace...

As of today I'm proud to announce that the tournament set is completely processed and ready for the labels to go on!

Also, I have been able to do a rack of the Ysabel $1s, so now I have 400 of those left. I'm guessing I should have those done by Tuesday or Wednesday.

We are certainly nearing the home stretch... all that is left are the 400 remaining Ysabel $1s and the 400 Isle $5s that won't be in until the middle of the week at the earliest.... and, of course, the labels which @Gear is still working on finishing up the design...

Has everything gone according to plan? No, but I have to say going through 2800 labels off of 1400 chips in only 6 days is quite an accomplishment... and looking at the pocessed chips in the "done" pile I can really envision the final product... and it looks great!

More updates tomorrow as always... thanks to everyone following this thread for taking this journey with me!

So much awesomeness. Couple of questions.

The game plaques, where do you customize/buy those through? Do you plan on replacing the little blind, big blind, kill, etc. jetons? Why did you choose to go with the milwaukee best All Ins? And the super noob question that will put all my ignorance on display, whats up with the....clocks?

MSK Gaming- They have done plaques for many PCFers and they do an amazing job... www.mskgaming.com

Replacing with what? those are legit ones like they have in real casinos...

Why did you choose to go with the milwaukee best All Ins?
Those are the commemorative All-In buttons from the 2006 WSOP...

Those are time extension plaques for shot clock games... I designed and 3d-printed them myself...

Gotcha, all love for the whole thing, was just curious. For the game plaques I meant the mixed game plaques, love that you had those customized. A GB has been mentioned around PCF forever about those, but just hasn't come to fruition.

And yeah those jetons work great, I just didn't know if you planned on replacing and customizing them somehow. We had similar ones done through MSK awhile back that look fantastic, wasn't sure if you were thinking of going that route. Something like below:

Time extension plaques. Mate that's brilliant! If the printer is ever not running and you want to make/sell 8 of em.... :whistling:

Beautiful setup, one day I hope to have the time to do this. Well done from design to chips to everything!

I'll PM you about the time extensions... I'm sure we can work something out...

The mixed game plaques I created at www.customsigns.com
Thery're about 4 bucks each plus shipping... though they usually have some kind of sale or discount going on...

Day 7 of the de-labeling is complete... one thing I realized I never did was to clean and oil the 100s... so for the beginning of the day I did that...

Those will air-dry overnight... and the second half of the day was spent going after the Ysabel $1s that were still remaining... only managed to do 100 today, leaving me 300 to do over the next 2-3 days until the last Isle 5s arrive...

It looks like I'm not going to be able to finish this project in time for my birthday... I should've started the label ordering process sooner... but I'm hoping I can post a finished product as soon as I can... more label removal tomorrow... thanks as always for following!

It's been a couple days... so here's the latest update on the Av8tion Poker Room...

All of my chips have arrived safely:
dd3ce1c0e5850ccd06a2849c47e05e5f.jpg

Also, all the Ysabel $1s have been completely delabeled... The last 400 Isle 5s that arrived today courtesy of @krafticus have been oiled today and are air-drying overnight... those will be de-labeled tomorrow and Saturday.

Another update is that I'll be re-felting one of my folding poker tables Saturday as part of my one-person birthday celebration... The cloth is supposed to arrive Saturday so I'll probably be doing that most of the evening... hopefully with pics to come...

The last piece of the puzzle is the labeling... I haven't had any updates for the last few days... and again I really really regret not contacting @Gear sooner in this process... it would've been nice to have everything finished in time for my 33rd... but alas the finish line is still a week or two away... as the labels need to be finalized, printed, shipped, and then manually inserted into each chip... and 4,400 labels will take a hot minute to finish...

To hold you all over until the next update... here's a picture of the tournament set (minus the labels obviously) set up for an 8-person STT... also works as a "before" picture of the table before it gets redone...

Thanks everyone for following, and more updates coming during the weekend!

Final delabeling update... WE'RE DONE!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.... 4,380 labels in a week and a half.... my hands hurt... my back hurts from the way I had to lean over the table to do the delabeling... everything hurts... but it's finally over...

Only one last phase to go before the set is done.. and for now that's out of my hands... I'm off to enjoy my last night as a 32-year-old...

Thanks as always for following, and I invite you to take a look over to the splashed pot pr0n thread in a few minutes to view my celebratory SPLASHAMANJARO pic after all the delabeling was finished!

Next update will be when the final label design is finalized and ready for print... which, like I said, is out of my hands... so stay tuned!

Man, that was a serious grind! Hats off bud!
Happy Birthday! And enjoy yourself!
Almost birthday twin lol mine is the 9th :cool

Hope your birthday was awesome! Looking forward to helping you break in that table and all those new chips!

INLAY UPDATE:

We are still in the process of finalizing the finished product, but here is what it will look like:
31291a1dc6854cfc5e8133140c0d00cb.jpg

The only thing left is some VERY minor polishing on formatting and centering regarding the denominations... but pretty much this will be roughly what the finished chips will look like... not too much left to go... the light at the end of the tunnel is here... just some finishing touches on design... printing and shipping of the labels... and several days of tedious label application to go!

Just got home after my overtime pickup (gotta pay for this chip set somehow) and my vinyl decals for my folding poker table came in to cover up the stock logo on the legs... adds a bit of customization to the table... and this will be the feature table for the Av8tion Poker Room until such a time I have a custom table designed and built...
