If split somehow and depending on price, I'd love to get those Silver Palace $5s and Gemaco Superflex) maybe shipped to @Perthmike for some future combined reshipping?)
I’m here till nov 12 so wondering if they are anywhere on my arc
@ekricket if you were able to pick up the Silver Palaces and that setup (if dibsed fast enough) that would be amazingly convenient! I am not sure if the setup and just 6 chips would be worth it mailed overseas.

Well when you’re back, hit me up if you need to take anything back.

also hit me up if you need some tourist help.

No judgement, just curious. Did you make the trip so you could climb before the summit closure?

No, not at all. The natives that own and use the land ask for respect in not climbing it so we’re happy to comply.

Quite a few others are climbing, but not as heavy as you would think. Pretty nasty though, four hour round trip with no facilities and people drinking litres and litres of water and nowhere to do business except off the trail. So when it does rain the waterholes are filled with piss and shit and camera batteries and diapers and food wrappers that has accumulated in the Months before with no rain.

Less than 20% of the people coming were climbing it anyway, so its not like a big attraction for the park.

sorry for the long response, but if i had some people over to my house and/or town and then found they were climbing on top of the local church or my house and then shitting on it, I’d ask them to be more respectful, actually I’d probably run them off after their trip to the hospital.

When I visited a few years ago, I chose not to climb out of respect. A few people attempted to but it was so windy it was extremely dangerous and many people almost fell - I'm not sure if anyone actually made it to the top that day. It seemed karmic.

No need to be sorry at the long response, my sentiments and actions mirror yours with regards to respecting Anangu culture re Uluru.

My question was poorly thought out and should have been something like "I hope the influx of last minute climbers didn't ruin your experience".

Did you hike around the base? How were the water holes looking? Pretty dry almost every here at the moment.
