A long time buddy of mine, none poker player, goes to alot of auctions looking for antiques. Almost 2 months ago he let me know that there was a large poker chip lot coming up for auction at one his regular auctions. That was all the details he had. On Friday there was preview for the Saturday auction. I went and found 1960 Paulson THC chips shaped inlay chips from a casino that I was unfamiliar with. I came home and searched the name on Chip Guide. What I found out was that it was local travelling "Charity" casino from Southern Ontario Canada, that travelled from city to city offering blackjack and 5/10 limit poker. I confirmed with @SeekTheGrail who played a lot poker in the 90's and @moose who played blackjack in the charity casino's, both remember playing with this company. Based on the offerings at casino, it explains why there was only 5 and 25 denominations available at the auction. Chip guide says there were 1s at some point, there were Mr Lucky 1's at some time.

Here is info from Chip Guide:

Guys I've had a couple conversation requests, full disclosure I do plan on offering some of these up, they will be very reasonable priced. Obviously having the same number of 5s as 25s might be an issue. I dont want to endless racks of 25s left over. Thanks
PS I'm in Buffalo next weekend which may help with shipping costs.

And you have discovered the trick to selling parts of a set. I recently priced racks at $60/$90/$150 from a set just so I didn't end up with extras. It worked.

I think you won’t have problems moving these 25s. Offer them first until you are left with the number you want compared to the 5s

Dibs!!

Great find! How hard are shaped inlays to remove?
I don't know that, @Gear can you chime in as this was something I was thing about.

Hard. Those are 99% certain to be paper underneath the top layer, which is a big enough pain to remove from a circular inlay. Add in the shape and it's a PITA.

But it can be done. I know a guy :)

Awesome find. But to have some sarcasm to make me feel better about not having great finds like this one, and recognizing I am ‘Merican, how does the metric system allow measurements of chips in ml? I know Americans have some messed up measurements but I haven’t seen chips measured in ml.....

The extra racks of $25s probably wouldn't be too hard to sell, especially if you took the time to sort them by condition -- from the pic above, some $25s have sharp edges and some have more rounded edges.

I would consider buying a spare rack of $25s in uniform used condition, with rounded edges, if you have any of those left over.

Yes. It seems the scale should be grams (not ml). However, the weight of water is 1 gram = 1 ml. So the scale might just be a kitchen scale to measure water, milk, etc. and is just measuring grams, even though it says milliliters.
