Hello,

This is Niles

I want to make some labels for a small cash set I have with his adorable face on them. I've been trying to cartoonify him, my best effort is below.

I figured I'd post this here, and see if anyone who has this artistic skill set is willing to help me out.

Thanks!

For separate, non-poker chip related things, I’ve had great luck on Fiver with getting quick cartoonings done. Typically pretty cheap, too

What kind of dog is Niles? My pup has the EXACT same ears.

I love your cartoon image. Especially love the denomination on the bone name tag :) Nice touch!

I love his Dorito Ears :p

He's quite the mutt.

24% Labrador Retriever
15% Chinese Shar-Pei
13% Russel-type Terrier
10% German Shepherd
9% Beagle
8% Golden Retriever
8% Chow Chow

He has traces of Collie and Rottweiler, and the rest is unknown.

My little buddy is:

31% Australian Cattle Dog
19% American Pit Bull Terrier
10% Chow Chow
7% Chinese Shar-Pei
7% Golden Retriever
6% American Staffordshire Terrier
4% Boxer
16% "Super mutt" (ie "unknown")

I wonder if it is the Chow Chow, or the Shar-Pei?

HI PUPPY!

Those DNA tests must have gotten much better than when I did mine 10 years ago. The results only came back with four ranges.

I'm working on the same thing myself right now. I like your progression so far.

Something that has helped me is fitting in features that are not exactly in the photo I'm basing the render off of, but that I know are key to the personality/markings of my dogs. You could start with the eyes to bring some life into the artwork. Even though the brown eyes are not apparent in the photo, you can introduce them using other references!

Great advice, I appreciate it!

A couple other callsout I'd say are key are getting both eyebrows in there, and don't leave out the gray/black hair under the nose - Both are quite distinguishing features to your pup I'd say!

I am working on these now for my custom set…. The Boxer Club. I have 2 boxer dogs! Still working on it.
