Just picked these up on eBay from a charity shop seller here in the UK. Looks to be about 700 chips, I paid £36 for them, so even if they’re garbage I can use them for a custom set or something? They look to be a bit more interesting than your basic plastic dice chips, but so far I know nothing more about them. Once they arrive I’ll weigh, measure and assess the material and construction, but in the meantime, any ideas?

I'm guessing they're a plastic, possibly slugged (metal in the center for added weight), possibly "ABS" plastic that is fairly slippery. They look a bit glossy in the images which leads me to that guess. Also they all have the same standard spot pattern, meaning all the chips are different colors but are being made using the same template. The spots have some irregularity to them - meaning they're not perfectly straight edged - which makes them look like a compression clay chip, but looking closer they're all identical and not smooshed/irregular in unique ways.

If this is the case, they're not worth anything beyond a standard die slug set. However they're probably easy to put labels on as they appear to have a slight recess in the middle. If you wanted to get 1000 custom labels made and stuck on you'd have a custom set :)

It looks like there's one "National Poker Series" purple chip in the rack of reds that I think is a Paulson chip.

All in all, £36 is a nice price for a set of 600 chips like this, hope you put them to good use!

Something makes me think "next gen" style chips. I can't say why. Would need to see the face of the chips to know more.

Better than dice chips, if so. I'd say you got them for a fair price. A good first step up the ladder. Should take a label easily.

I agree with the good doctor. They look like Nexgen, but I can’t quite place which variety. Some of the better inexpensive plastics, IMO. Good deal at that price.

It would be helpful if you posted closeups of the faces.

I'm thinking of doing something like this with them

Looks great

You can order cheap stickers from StickerMule, or very nice ones from Gear Labels. Folks on here like @Okku can help with design and probably do printing too if you want an expert’s eye to help them look their best

They have arrived and as you guys thought they are the Lucky Bees with the large recess! Now to get some stickers ordered!
