Paging all the tourney blind experts...

I'm running my annual charity tourney tomorrow and I'm thinking of tinkering a bit with the blinds I used last year to add in the 25-75 level and get rid of the jump from 25-50 to 50-100.

But what I've come up with slows down the entire thing quite a bit after that. Looking for some feedback.

Starting stacks are 10k in chips, no rebuys or add-ons. I'm expecting about 14-18 players. Wish I could get 24... but alas...

If the tourney lasts somewhere between 4-6 hours I'm good. Anywhere inside of that.

If I kill that level, I could speed things up at that point and get rid of the blacks.

How long are the levels?

IMO you could kill levels 12 and 18 at minimum. Possibly even 15. But it kind of just depends on level length.
 
Based on 17 entries, the 4K/8K level should be the end, plus/minus a level or so ......
Add up the level times + break times for total run time ....
You may need to move down to 15min levels a bit earlier ..
 
I think your new structure is almost perfect. I just agree with @Frogzilla and recommend removing Level 12. I would also recommend adding a 250/500 level.

Then you can space out the first 2 breaks at 4-level intervals.

The following is one of my personal favorite structures. It took me a few years of tweaking to arrive at this one...

With 21-24 entries it will run about 5hrs 45min.

Anything less than that and it will be shorter.
 
I'll would keep you structure of last year but keep all levels to 20 min.
With the 20 BB theory the tournament will end by lvl14, so 4:20 of play and 5:10h including breaks
 
For consistency get rid of levels 10, 12 and 18, then merge levels 14 & 15 to 1100/2200
 
Really I think blind structures should boil down to two patterns.

Pattern 1) 2-4, 3-6, 4-8, 6-12, 8-16
Pattern 2) 2-4, 3-6, 4-8, 6-12, 8-16, 10-20, 12-24

Multiply each chip by the above, return to start every time all remaining levels can be denominated in the next chip. Optionally add levels of 1-1, 1-2, 2-3 to the start of the tournament.

Low chip: Levels
(Pattern 1)
[Optional 25-25, 25-50, 50-75]
25: 50-100, 75-150, 100-200, 150-300
100: 200-400, 300-600, 400-800, 600-1200, 800-1600
500: 1000-2000, 1500-3000
1000: 2k-4k, 3k-6k, 4k-8k, 6k-12k, 8k-16k

(Pattern 2)
25: 50-100, 75-150, 100-200, 150-300
100: 200-400, 300-600, 400-800, 600-1200, 800-1600, 1000-2000, 1200-2400
500: 1500-3000
1000: 4k-8k, 6k-12k, 8k-16k, 10k-20k, 12k-24k

I think pattern one is more efficient with color ups. Pattern two is a slower structure (wsop style).

But I think these patterns really give good results every time using familiar numbers.
