Waiting List
bro i don't even play poker, i'm just a board gaming loser who wanted some chips to use with Scythe and Flamecraft and Camel Up and Ready Set Bet and Machi Koro and 7 Wonders, and now i'm like $300 in the hole with my first set in the holster and another on the way plus a billion samples and that's probably just the start lmaooo
i even made a whole-ass database for tracking my faves it's so ogre for me isn't it bro i'm so c o o k e d

honestly, i've had a lot of fun getting a feel for all the different types of chips and designs out there. i think i could get more than enough satisfaction amassing a collection of sample sets, and aside from whatever becomes my "permanent" set, i don't really plan on collecting more than one or two full sets (haha please nobody remember this post in a year)
i'm also not super interested in casino sets or anything with collector value. tbh, as a graphic designer at heart, i'm more interested in pretty designs, labels, and logos! so far i'm very fond of minimalism (Jacks, Diamond Cardroom), luxury typography (Monte Carlo Millions, Empire, Majestic, Monaco Club), cool scrollwork (Ascona, Penthouse, Bank), and analogous color palettes (Ascona again, Casino Royale, Monte Carlo Millions again). some of these got really clashing colors and i ain't about that (honestly most injection-molded clays :/ have any of these designers analyzed a color wheel?! closest i've come so far). not too crazy about maximalism, so most casino-like styles and edge-to-edge ceramics are mostly out. i'm sure that'll get me pitchforked in no time lol
if i were to pick my most likely prospects, it'd be Monte Carlo Diamond and Monte Carlo Millions just 'cuz they're so inexpensive, and then one ceramic set. either i'll sell a kidney for Sunfly's Asconas, or i'll hop in one of the group buys of the 43mm web-mold Monaco ceramics — god those feel so good to play with. i really really hope i don't impulse buy all of them, i only JUST started collecting animation cells too

i'm excited to start my journey!
