I wanted to share this Flandreau, SD bad beat jackpot story with you all. The casino is a half hour drive north from where I live and it's not much of a casino or much of a poker room. The games are limit with a 2-4 or a 2-10 spread. In 2008 the bad beat was up to 98k and it finally hit however there was an issue during the hand. The two involved in the hand remained silent during the hand but some mumbling drunk was talking about how the hand could be the bad beat (we've all seen these guys). There are bad beat qualifying rules listed at entrance of the poker room and one of the rules is you can't discuss the bad beat during a bad beat hand. The casino refused to pay it out and the silent loser and the rest of the table fought it as far as they could fight it but still lost. The table would have received around 3k each, the loser would have got around 44k, and the winner 24k. I can't imagine being the 2 involved that did nothing wrong. I was wondering if anyone else on here had some enraged gambling stories they wanted to share. I'll post the link for any non-believers.
