Some time before CPC closed up shop ahead of the move west, I ordered a number of acrylic racks from ’em. The need arose for more of them, but with the store closed, I had to look elsewhere. Looking through the many results on Amazon, the “Acrylic Poker Chip Tray Rack” by “LUOBAO” appeared to be a very close match. I gave these a shot and was pleased to find that they are indistinguishable from the racks from CPC. The current rates are 12 for $25 – far better than $6.50 each from CPC.

If buying afresh, without any need to match, you’re probably better off with Key West’s racks. But for those who just need to supplement what they’ve got, here ya go.

How thick is the plastic? I've been stung by cheap racks that
  1. Didn't stack well. That is immensely tilting.
  2. Very thin plastic. This "cuts" into the hands when carrying multiple racks, and doesn't slide on the shelf very well, sounding like the plastic will crack. I'd be afraid to allow then to sit on a nice poker table for fear of leaving rectangular marks in the felt.

I'm assuming cheapo Amazon racks.
Any names to stay away from?

One set of racks I bought from Spinettis for $1.50 a rack. Not the same as the racks that sold for 2x the price, which are good. Bad on me for buying the cheap ones. Very thin, but worse, they don't stack. Racks that don't stack. This is them with the slightest of nudges. Identifiable by the very shallow base (bottom of the chip to the bottom of the rack, compared to the racks on the left).

The other set which I don't like (of which I bought 100) were from ABC. I think they were a closeout. I never intended to fill 100 racks. These stack well, but also have a thin edge. I would resell these for $1 a rack (plus shipping), but I lack the calipers to measure inside dimensions. I get that not everyone cares and they are a deal, but I would hate to mark up someone's felt (they have been fine on my table with a topper). Here you see the thickness difference between a Brybelly rack (left) and the ABC rack (right).

My 2003 ASM Circle Square have been in 67.7 racks for two decades. I just tried them in 66.7s I got for my Tina chips and they are as exact as you could get.

Now I wish someone made 65.7s of retina hybrids
