A new Aussie Chipper's first Premium chip set? (1 Viewer)

After coming out of retirement for Faro Dunes, I decided to start doing a stocktake of my cupboards

This is the new family pic of Faros

very nice, makes me wish I didn't let go of my numerous sets of Paulson's back in the chip talk days.

Hi Newenne

Ive got paulsons because i always wanted them. to me they are the ducks guts. Its taken over 10 years to get a set i really like (sell some then buy a rack here a rack there) then i relabeled them to tie it all together.

Here's the thing. I recently bought a rack of snappers for $300 USD. Landed in Oz with postage is about $550 AUD. Playing with chips that are $5.50 each is kind of insane.

But the heart wants what the heart wants.

Also keep an eye out for the next Chip room sale. in fact there are still some Harras paulsons on sale from the 2024 sale.

good luck

Geoff

Get your set up to
120/200/400/100/80
This weekend was the first time I got to try any of my sets 9 handed. Have usually capped out at 7. Was tempted to sub in the AS cash set because I was worried
the Faro Dunes set I got at 120/180/180/20/0 was too small. It was juuuuuuust enough for a 25c/50c - $50 buy in. We ended up with about $1k on the table.

Question is do you dedicate a set for smaller games and use other, bigger sets for bigger games or..... max them all out.

I think I will cap this one at 200/200/180/20/0

If it's your favorite set and it's relatively feasible from a financial and availability standpoint, I would max that set out. Add a few racks and the set can cover your current game or a bigger game if your game grows.
