600 Chip Aurora Star (AS) Tourney Set Raffle (1 Viewer)

I decided a week or so ago to split off part of my AS tourney set, and was all set to run a raffle so that anyone interested in it had a chance to win it. However, I ended up postponing it when @The Kid posted his raffle, and I decided to wait until his raffle was complete. As his drawing is tonight, I figured it was time for me to post my set.

I will not cancel the raffle to accept a cash payment for the chips (or to split up racks), so please don't ask.

This AS 600 chip tourney set is in mint condition--the chips have never been used and have been stored in their original Paulson shipping boxes. This set uses what I, and many others, consider to be an ideal breakdown for a very flexible 600 chip tournament set. It is ideally suited to a 20-player T10,000 tourney (one of the most popular starting stack sizes), with starting stacks of 8/8/4/7. There are plenty of T5000s and T25Ks for rebuys and color-ups.

Breakdown is as follows:

160 x T25
160 x T100
80 x T500
140 x T1000
50 x T5000
10 x T25,000

There will be 100 tickets sold at $30/each or $110 for 4 tix. Limit of 4 tickets per person.

Shipping and any optional insurance costs are the responsibility of the winner. I will ship anywhere in the world, however once the chips are accepted at the post office (or UPS) I will no longer be responsible should they get lost along the way or indefinitely delayed in customs.

The winner will be determined by the first two digits of the evening NYS WIN4 lottery.

The drawing date will be tomorrow, Friday the 13th, at 7:30pm EDT.

For example, if the winning numbers on the evening of the drawing were 4-3-6-1, ticket #43 would win the AS tourney set.

Please post in the thread to reserve a specific spot(s). If you don't specify a specific number, I will randomly assign you one. I will update the list as soon as I can, but please be patient as I have a 15-month-old.

Do not send any payments yet.

Since we are 80% there, I will now begin collecting payments.

Please send your payment via PayPal Friends & Family.

ONLY put your username in the comments section, nothing else.

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES PUT THE WORD "PCF" or "RAFFLE" IN THE PAYPAL COMMENT SECTION.

I was interested in participating, but was late... Chillax... Also reading comprehension is important. I don't know how you read what I wrote, but it obviously wasn't perceived by you as I intended it.

I am not saying the price is crazy or too high. I said "based on how fast these raffles fill up this is the market price for the chips" I understand that. It's obvious based on the "market value" and "similar chip's market value" the market knows something about these chips I don't. I admit I don't know much about these chips and state I am missing a variable/history (the market is aware of) when valuing these chips. I state that I have tried to find the answer for myself, but was unsuccessful. Then request for someone who is knowledgeable for help to tell me the variable I am missing.

People respond with: "Oh these chips were privately funded and a limited amount were made due to production ending abruptly cause them to be more valuable than similar chips" Then I respond "ok thanks for the explanation I now know what was missing when valuing these chips compared to others thanks for explaining"

It's literally a question that is asked a billion times on this site. What make Product A better than Product B that results in the price difference. Maybe it wasn't the right thread to ask the question, maybe that should be your argument, but to take the time write a response blowing up at another member for asking a question about the difference between this product vs another product is absolutely insane. I'm soooo sorry to burden you with my limited knowledge on this product, how dare I ask the poker chip community a question about a poker chip.

Side note to the members who helped me: Thank you to all those who just answer my question (without being a huge dick) and helped me understand why this chip is special and more expensive than other similar chips. I am now a more knowledgeable member of the community and will be able to participate in future raffles because of this knowledge. I appreciate you guys!
Let's just keep this thread for the raffle;
