Yes, it is wood. Made by altering a kitchen table. I’d say 6 players unless they are very skinny. The legs can be removed easily, only 4 bolts. The rail foam is YAT 65lb premium. The playing surface is waterproof.

I have a 50" round and 6 fit comfortably, 7 is doable in a pinch, 8 is too tight unless it's a skinny crowd. So for a 48" I'd say 6 or 7.

I got a 51’ table that I used for my home game that run 6 handed and occasionally 7 handed

48’ table can fit up to 8 unless all 8 all super well built

It definitely great value if your game play mostly 6 handed

I personally have never used this table for poker. Our family enjoys playing euchre, LCR, rummikub tile game, chess and other board games. The padded surface is nice for any of these family games.

Yeah, completely different from in Texas. Looking out my front window now, there's one in my driveway, both houses on either side of me, and three within sight across the street. LOL. Only people that have ever asked to use mine are my own kids.
