43mm Cash Set Opinions (1 Viewer)

I think i found the perfect thread to ask what are some easy-to-find options for 43mm. I've always loved the look of mixed 39mm (lower denoms) and 43mm (higher denoms) in cash sets. Besides AS, is there anything similar that can be found relatively easily?
AS, BTP, SB, RPC, TP, BaCawk, plus all the offerings from THR and TCE. Lots and lots of 43mm out there and many probably easy to find. Just need to know what you want.

Depends on condition and spots. Can range from <$10/chip for Majestic Star and relabeled HSCinci primary to $15 TCR releases to $20-$25 each for the really nice ones to unobtainium (Jack Detroit sec 1k).

I was thinking of going with Majestic Star for the price point, but I wanted a playable cash set, this may mean I would need to re-label the higher denoms (the lower denoms are hideous).

Then I started looking at BTP and I would have to sell a kidney for the set.

If you’re going to relabel a random IHC then focus on the color and spots you want. For example SB T25k is blaze.

Most casino 1ks seem to be blaze these days.

Thank you, i'll do some research to see what my 43mm options are and go from there. It'll be a long-term re-label project, so I'll be patient with it.

Yeah and fwiw, prices aren’t always that bad. I won an auction for a barrel of those SB 500s for $170 shipped, back in the fall. And some 43mm green 25 chip was selling for like $6 apiece around that time.
I think the market took a little bit of a nap in the fall, so of course prices may vary. But pay attention and grab what comes along.

You mean T500s right? My rack of SB $500s probably cost me $3000 to piece together. One of my favorite chips.

Those SB T500s have a good forever home now. Thank you!

Can I see your full lineup?
I haven't taking full set pictures in a long time, but here's one from a while back. I just added the barrel of 500s recently. I did add some more 1s, 25s and 100s so now have 4 racks of 1s, 3 racks of 25s and over a rack of 100s so good enough for 2 tables if needed.

All my sets have 43 mm hi denomination chips. It’s the only way to go IMO.

I never knew I needed 43mm Chips in my life until I did, I cant say why but they just feel more comfy to use, maybe its because I have big hands or its just placebo since it only really is 4mm difference but the size matters! Only part that sucked is having to buy more racks now but boohoo, gonna buy more 43mm for sure in the future :)
