Forgive the rambling here: I'm thinking of a grid, with each box representing one of the unique cards in the deck. Laid out kinda like the old "Guess Who?" game, so that you can flip down/hide dead or non-out cards. The idea being a visual aid for understanding how many remaining cards a player may be drawing to.

example:
In PLO8, a player might need any spade, plus 3,4,7, or 8 to complete a hand that scoops. Or in Razz, 3 players fold low up cards before hero acts, and those cards become relevant later - either by reducing outs hero can draw to, or reducing the likelihood of a hand villain could hold.

Is this an interesting idea or project?

Its a cool idea! But I can't see myself making/buying/using it. This would be using an abacus instead of a calculator. Maybe good for some type of learning tool but I really don't want another thing hanging around, I prefer digital tools.
