Just something I made for fast cleaning my chips. Works pretty good for a 2 liter Ultrasonic Cleaner. Holds 4 barrels.

I suggest you print in high quality since the walls are thin. Also do not use PLA, use PETG instead.

I could try it, it looks good. Although I've never understood why these things work, but the included basket doesn't...
 
You are absolutely correct. The included basket works well for a few items that can be spread out in the basket. But chips (and disks in general) have a large surface area to volume ratio, and they are not volumetrically symmetrical, like a sphere or a cube . The key of ultrasonic cleaning is that surfaces must be fully exposed to the liquid so the sound waves can travel through the liquid and create the microscopic bubbles at the surface. The cleaning rack above provides the largest amount of exposed area so all the chips are uniformly in contact with the cleaning solution.
 
Also interested. I have vevor 6L. I thought that the chips had to be moved around so the sonic waves hit the chips since they won’t permeate through them. I hope I’m wrong and this works like a dream.
 
Another interested, with a Vevor 6L. These would be gentler on the chips. No banging together rolling in the salad spinner.

As long as the chips don't have a surface that is covered with anything else (another chip, the side of the basket, etc) and water has access to it, there's no need to move the chips around.

cool. So if 3 of these racks fit in a 6L for 12 barrels or 2.4 racks this is sweet.

But isn‘t a lot of the chip’s surface area touching the basket? Intrigued by this, but seems like a lot of the chip is touching plastic, so womdering if they get fully cleaned on those areas or not.
 
My experience is that yes, they get uniformly cleaned because the chips tend to rotate on their axis, thus exposing all edge surfaces at one time or another.

The .STL or .OBJ files (3D print files) are free for download on the link above. Of course, you will need a 3D printer (or a friend that has one ;)). If you don't have a 3D printer, consider getting one, as they are so amazingly useful for so much other stuff. For beginners, I'd recommend the Bambu Labs A1 or A1 Mini. Send me a DM if you have questions setting it up, or maybe questions about the Bambu slicer software. It may sound complicated, but I promise you, it is not.

One thing I forgot to mention is that ultrasonic baths do not work well on Bud Jones (as the picture shows), but they do a great job on Paulsons. Another tip, do not manually increase the water temperature on the ultrasonic cleaner, as the transducers do that on their own. On a 1 hr cleaning session expect solution temperatures to reach around 100 deg F.

Can you tell me the size so that I @chipzilla or I can see how they lay out in the Vevor 6L?
 
So for the other metrically challenged, it is roughly 3.25" by 3.25" by 7.25". The tank on a Vevor 6L is roughly 6" by 12". So it will for easily but there is no way to fit two.

At same height stm can be tweaked to hold 200 chips.

What’s the height of the Vevor. If height is sufficient to add a layer now 300 chips in play.

That’d be sick but I don’t have this expertise and hand crank my zip tied closed salad spinner.

So PLA starts deforming at about 120 degF, that is not very hot, and your bath temperature could reach those levels during prolonged use, even with the heater off. This happened to me once, and it was quite hard to get the chips out of a warped rack. On the other hand PETG starts deforming at about 160 degF, which gives you a little more leeway as your bath temperature rises.

I am interested and intrigued. Are you asking for the 4 barrel or the 200 chip. Without getting too technical @Dr_Dan11 did an great job dealing with those overhangs! Not sure if he used supports and removed them or he had his bambu dialed in perfectly. If petg is acceptable and I Imagine I could make and sell the 4 barrel for $10 the 200 chip set probably $25. The price is because of print time not filament cost. I'll print one tonight and show the result. @Dr_Dan11 let me know if you'd rather print and sell them on here I'm not trying to profit off you design. I am not sure how much PETG I have in stock right now so don't judge the color I wind up using

I’d definitely be in for a 4 barrel variant assuming shipping isn’t too bad
 
what is the loading process on this? Seems like it would take a while.
 
In case any is curious this design will work for 39mm-40mm chips. could be fairly easily converted for 43 if any interest
