As you do on a Saturday night when not playing poker, I am messing around with a potential 25k chip to add to this set as I think I may be able get some two table action going down the line

Initial shortlist would be grey, lavender or retro lavender but what is the consensus on using similar colours to other denominations? Grey and light blue are kind of similar but would never be in play together, same for lavender and blurple.

Chocolate could work also but I’ve seen a number of chips look nice with blue/yellow edge spots which would then match the 5k edge spots too closely

Keen to get alternative suggestions / POVs as surprisingly my Mrs doesn’t give a toss

I like the white base suggestion and think a dark chip with a white spot would look good too.

Me personally, I would do DG Peacock. The T100 is gone by then, and I assume it's never in the starting stack.

I want to say pink because its twenty-fiveness is strong but it’s too close to orange $5k.

Go “flag”. White base red and blue stripes. While usually a $5k a flag would slot in well:

Yes it is surprising how close dayglo pink and orange look the same when stacked on each other. I have maybe shied away from white chips due to my perceived propensity to get dirty quicker but if used as end game chip then they’d largely stay on the racks.

This also crossed my mind and yes the intent would never be for it to be a starting stack chip and never be on table at the same time as the 100. What edge spots would you think to include if factoring that 5k and probably 1k could still be on the table

Mocked up some

Absolutely love the DG green and DG Arc spots! Book it!
Considering it won’t be on table at same time as T25 can also consider a minty green 25k as its 25ness is so strong.

Hustler casino uses a cranberry 25k. You don’t have a red so that seems a good candidate too.

I’d worry in low light brown is close to orange but the way the day glo shines it’s probably not a problem.

Must agree the blue is wonderful.

I still vote white or off white with peacock/blue and red/retro red spots.

You could also do mandarin red. Red 25k chips are actually pretty common. Plus it would complete the rainbow!

Ok a few more pics/thoughts.

I impulse bought a barrel of this TPs earlier in the year without any actual Intended use at the time. They are 43mm which I kind of liked when watching WSOP as it indicated you were getting late in the tournament. The claw edge spots kind of fits in to the set as well. That said combining the two feels wrong if I can get a CPC add on order.
The base of that is charcoal but would need relabelling but could be done as a stop gap.

I’ve also stacked some of the other suggested colours for comparison and potential dirty stack issues. I think if I went red it would need to be a darker red to stand out more. The dayglo orange is not as imulsion looking as the photos suggest than IRL but retro red and mandarin red feel too close.

I do like both the DG blue and green suggestions! Have mocked up some more alternatives

The order of reds stacked up the DG orange is retro, mandarin and then red

The correct answer is charcoal base. CPC that is.

Your OP is 100% spot on.

Given what’s already in play, I would go with your proposed white above.

Your DG peacock is lovely, but you already played blue.

The suggested charcoal (or black) could also work, but finding the right spots to make it really shine, especially as the last and highest value chip—which should be more special in my mind—might be the hard part given the rest of your set.

The reason I don't like white base is that you lose the contrast of the white inlay.

Dayglo Saturn may or may not work IRL  :ROFLMAO:

Charcoal has the advantage to leave a lot of freedom with edge spot colors. The spots won't pop as much as they would on black, but there are some nice combinations.

I like the idea of DG green and red for the chip, too. Red might be a little to close to the 5k, though.

I am not averse to charcoal however I’d probably go similar edge spots to the TP chip with at least one being DG green to spice things up and maybe a peach.
Maybe it’s just the sample chip I got but DG Saturn is ass lol

So many choices and yet I’m so undecided still. If I was forced right now I’d go bright white base I think.

Appreciate everyone’s responses (so far - keep em coming if you have any!)

i agree with all of this. the sides of the retro lavender i got in my CPC colour sample set is very muted/dirty, compared to the front on view it is not pleasant viewing. i think that given the RL is closer to pink than blurple that it is a feasible choice, then chocolate and white also if i wanted to give myself options

You mean you don't like the color of glowing vomit?
if only it glowed, it might provide relief and blind us from the atrocity that the naked eye can see
