There was some interest a ways back as I saw a couple racks of 25c Jokers Wild Chips were put on sale. I also have some of these available, they are Hot Stamps and I tried to take the best off the table as possible while I visited! (Slow labor for love as you all know haha, especially with the action these chips can see!)

I have included pics of some indicative racks, showing some of the checking and nicks as is possible! They are unwashed/oiled so you can feel free to handle however you like.

These really are a neat addition to a home game to have in-circulation chips!

Fully retook and updated pictures (again), the top 3.6 racks is of similar quality to the original set of four I posted before I organized all the racks. The bottom rack is almost all worn and nicked chips. Basically the worst rack I could put together from what I’ve wound up over the years with from this Craps game, in order to improve the quality of all the other racks and priced accordingly of course!

$160 a rack shipped for the “normal”, and $90 shipped for the “rough” rack as pictured. Shoot me a note and your choice which rack first come/served.

Just let me know of any questions!

I just set them at what I saw them at on here a couple months ago, not too familiar with the pricing or value. I do know what effort went into sourcing!

If there’s no market or interest... or like I said if I shouldn’t have posted I’m happy to take this down or whatever.

posted in the welcome but I’m a frac collector new to the forum/fact that such a huge community exists!
Not new to forums IG though so I get it.
Cheers All

I also have a rack of these, and didn't even realize they were live chips!

well let’s be clear, they were when I scooped them! I assume it’s still open. One of the two boyd gaming properties so low brow they excluded them from the players cards even haha.

Used to be a hobby to land, rent a car, shoot $1 dice for a couple hours then go check in DT or strip. Those days (for me) have passed. Used to also play cash games there but they pulled the poker room at one point.

thanks for the reply!

Have a rack of these. They’re great chips. GLWS

I didn’t realize these were live chips either.
Dang you guys are making me doubt myself now (about the current state of this casino) . I need to make it to boulder hwy again.

But if you just mean that they were played live then yes absolutely I got them all from a live dealt full craps game(box plus three dealers)

Google search says the casino is still there anyways. Thanks for the tip because I never would have thought they were live, no idea why.

well, when I think of live chips, I think In terms of being able to go cash them out if I decided to do so.

They are live and if you work at it you can find a rack almost uncirculated

The casino is live and open, I just had family harvest some ones there a few weeks ago. Not sure what games they use the quarters for, when my family went there I asked for quarters, they tried at the cage looked all around the 1000 sq ft casino (yes it is tiny) they couldn't find anything using the beauties... to be fair on value, about 6 - 8 weeks ago someone listed (2) racks of these on PCF for $250 a rack, we all cringed as we have been buying them between $150 - $200 a rack, a couple days later the seller posted they were sold.

While most of us here try to sell for what we paid for chips, trying to keep this an honest market offering fair trade, many members follow this guide line... many don't! We definitely have chip flippers looking to make money... if someone else sold them for that why not try... there is nothing wrong with that but it will be frowned on and as a new member, personally I want to make friends not enemies!

Options... so I would have done a bit more research and looked at completed auctions on eBay , past listing here and found a relative normal price for hour chips... or gone the easy route and send them to auction, if the sell high it's on the other members that bid it up... not on the seller... (you)!

I mean none of that to be offensive just trying to help you find ways to get the most for your hard earned (low denomination chips) and not start an uproar when pricing is a bit high... but It happens everyday, you drop the prices till someone decides your are at the right price... we learn and move on. I love my jokers quarters they are awesome fracs! Good luck with your sale Sir and I hope you have enjoyed the journey so far!! Fellow chipper Ben

Thanks! Yes I got a similar very supportive PM! I’ll be following just your advice!
Since I saw them posted and sold I sort of used that as my “research” given how recent it was... so yeah will adjust accordingly as time ticks and thanks everyone for the advice and the welcomes!
:)

Just note chips have a value range and at the high end of the range buyers expect clean chips with decently sharp edges and little to no flea bites.

Got it! Given these four racks and the feedback I think I’m going to adjust the price a little then for now and see how interest goes! Thanks everyone for all the feedback.

If I was in the market for fracs like I was 8 years ago Id snap buy two racks in that condition for 250 to 300
There really is no appreciation in the frac market I see
Almost 10 years later most of my stuff is the same or less than what i originally paid and they are harder to find

I was really irritated with @DMack’s post cause of the fact that these were listed at $250 before. I wanted to take a moment before responding, but I think @Ben8257 gave a great explanation.

Id ultimately prefer when there is something negative to be said, move it to the off-topic area and not in the sales thread.

Excuse my little venting.

Sorry to irritate you. It’s just this new mentality of fleece when possible, and as much as possible, that really gets to me. It seems like all the new/newer members look to extract at every given chance. Times are changing, though. I am going to have to adapt to the new norm. But, I’m still right about the price...

I get it. You may not like people flipping chips. I think that conversation should have happened privately. You may have not known why he listed his chips and that price, and because I’ve been following the chips, I happen to have known that the chips were listed at $250 and marked as sold. Perhaps a PM if you had an issue could have been a better route cause he could have explained to you in private without people seeing this convo and potentially damaging the guy’s reputation, or making other possible false assumptions.

Joining just to flip live chips at exorbitant markup before any other kind of contribution to the site seems to be the norm anymore. Seems like the message that’s out there to the world is that chipping is just about making bank.

The market ultimately drives the price. It’s not fair to say it’s because new people can do it. Catch and release for no profit is a courtesy not a requirement (or at least it shouldn’t be), but again, even if you do feel that way, there are other places to have the conversation. Not in the persons classified ad.

Again, just my two cents.

Thank you, @ekricket. Exactly how I feel, and I obviously irritated a newbie with what I said.

I happen to have known that the chips were listed at $250 and marked as sold.

Just because they were marked as sold does not mean they sold for that. Plenty of sales are for less than listing via PM. For all you know they were traded for three dollars, two chickens, and a goat
If I list some Cleveland ones for $1000 and then mark them sold is that the new market price? The OP was talking about market value in his listing so discussion about how market value can be determined seem to be in order.
For a new member with no credentials to just jump in and immediately offer high dollar chips can be a red flag, anyone deal with this guy yet except to send him a few free chips?
