What is great is there are more than one table and some dealers will cut you deals if are willing to negotiate. Some of the chips I took home I paid up for them because how nice of condition they were. Others I got deals because there was minor imperfections. But it is always a fun time to talk to others who have a common interest and to look all the chips I will never own. Each year I tell my self I will not find anything for my collection but I come home with a few. Plus I don't have to taxes and shipping. Plus you never know if you hit it big and the trip pays for itself.
I found some pretty sharp pencils, don't think I paid list price for very many chips. The convention is a volume selling event for most folks and yes, paying no shipping or sales tax is the best part! :)

Dang, this thread has convinced me to changed my dates around for next year so I can go to this convention in June.
If you connect with some of the dealers prior to the show like me (rubes casino chips) we can hand carry chips to the show for you to pick up. We try to have a lot of fund and just looking around at all the chips you never know what you might find. The CCA will post monthly reminders of the dates. Hope to see you there.
