I know for casino guys it’s taboo, but the homegame has spoken. No one carry’s $25 bills and guys top off small stakes game with a $20.

Would you still use greens, go yellow, or a different colors.

We already use blue dollars

I’m in a similar situation with my Paris set. Seems like the options are yellow and black, and since I want a $100 chip, it only makes sense that yellow would be $20 and $100 would be black.

You could use any color that isn't already ingrained in someone's head as a denomination. I once played with NCV Chips and Red was $.50...screwed me up all night. Yellow is $5 in Cali but goes well in traditional Vegas & A/C colors.

Green is only for $25 chips. $20.00 chips, use whatever fucking color gets your juices flowing

I definitely like one green $20.
But speaking from experience, this is true:
but green $20s is just asking for confusion.
But screw them. I bend over backwards for the player experience in so many ways. If they can’t tolerate a wicked cool lime green Dunes $20, they can go shit in a hat. And I’d be happy to give them 4 reds for each one.

I’ve been thinking about this statement….I think you are better off with getting more $5s

When you say small stakes are you saying below $2/5? Because that is the only game I even get $25 chips in play. I mean once in a while, when a $1/2 game got really big I needed the $25s but when I recently bought a new cash set I made sure I had way more $5s.

If anyone is reloading or topping of for $100 or less I’m giving them red $5s until I can’t. If I were to run out of $5s that would mean there would be several players with $500 + stacks. At that point I would buy back some $100 barrels of $5s from the large stacks with four $25s.

The first time I ever saw a player with a $20 chip was at Borgata about 15 years ago. He sat down with a couple at a poker table. I actually asked where he got a yellow chip because I never saw one before. He said playing baccarat.

All colors are acceptable in my book. I agree, though, if you are used to playing east coast/Vegas casino’s, green maybe confusing at first. But, they’ll get used to it.

I am still deciding on the $20 for my limit set.
