i have 2 questions when it comes to implementing the kill. A little confused on the order of action.

Scenario 1:
Seat 1 - dealer
Seat 2 - SB
Seat 3 - BB
Seat 4 - Kill Blind
Seat 5
Seat 6

In this scenario, does the action start with seat 5? And seat 4 gets an option if it is called to them or does the betting round end if it is called to them?

Scenario 2:
Seat 1 - dealer
Seat 2 - SB
Seat 3 - BB
Seat 4
Seat 5 - Kill Blind
Seat 6

In this scenario, seat 4 obviously starts the action but does the action then jump over seat 5 to seat 6? Even if seat 4 raises the kill? And if so, does seat 5 then act last?

Or does seat 5 act in turn and can decide to check, raise, or fold with last action ending with seat 3 (option)?

In scenario 1 the kill is treated like a straddle getting last action. Yes he can raise if everyone just calls the kill amount.

In scenario 2 action would start at seat 4 then seat 5 would act in turn.

These are the typical ways it is played. But some games play the Kill get to act last no matter what. He is just skipped until everyone else has acted then it comes back to the kill. I don't like this method as it can be confusing and creates headaches slowing down the game.

Administration of the kill varies a fair bit room to room. Some place begin action as normal to the left of the BB with the kill acting in turn. Some places begin action to the left of the kill with the kill acting last. A very small minority of rooms will begin to the left of the BB, leap the kill, and allow the kill to act last.

The predominant east coast rule for a long time was to begin action to the left of the BB with the kill acting in turn, but I understand that this has recently changed in a couple of rooms to begin action to the left of the kill.

When running a home game I have found it best to begin action to the left of the kill unless there is a strong local preference (i.e., most players play in a local casino that uses a different rule) for another option.

I've only played with a kill button a few times. ^^^ Is how we did it.

Thanks guys. I like the idea of beginning the action to the left of the kill with the kill acting last. Seems straightforward.
