Not Mine 1100 MGM Chips (1 Viewer)

I’ve been watching this set for a while now. Being local to Detroit I would love to have it.

The quarters have been moving in the $240-280 a rack range. I’ve been paying $3/chip (but I don’t need many, I only use them for baccarat).
What about going prices for the $1’s and snappers? Are they all live chips?!

Does this seem about right? Just adding 50 cents to the live chip value for the $1's and snappers a.k.a. harvesting mark-up.

I think a PCF group buy would work, especially if he can be locally contacted. About 10 days ago, I took a stab at the set. I started below $2K, but came up to $2,200 plus $99 shipping plus $132 tax. He dropped to $2,600 plus shipping and tax. We were $400 apart and he did mention the eBay and PayPal fees as his reluctance to go lower.

Bottom line, I feel he’d let it go for $2,200 to $2,300 cash. If a local PCF member assisted, it could be group purchased and divided up. Shipping of each lot would be extra, but at cost.

Any unsold $1’s or snappers could be cashed in!

Sadly, I have so many sets now that I’m not sure I want dibs on any :wow: Today, anyway.

If there is interest in the PCF community, I wold be happy to facilitate an in person purchase, as Waterford is about 20 minutes down the road for me. But there would have to be lots of certainty/commitment by PCF'ers to make it happen.

Well, you can count me in for a barrel of the quarters, might be able to push that out to two barrels. :ROFLMAO:

Edit: OK, OK and a barrel of snappers

I’d take a rack of each and pony the bread to group buy it for us to split but he has to come down to reality. Be surprised what a couple bills gets u at a late night poker room/cage. Its impressive but not “1500” impressive.

I kind of regret buying my house so damn far away from Las Vegas now :p

2200-2400 for that seems fair to me. It's expensive, but it's also a b-e-a-utiful collection of fracks & snappers :)

In the event $2,300 cash is accepted, the chip costs would be lower - and rather attractive. Possible break-out table attached (I'm not trying to be the final chip price fixer, so others may make suggestions...)

And since it's a new day, I would be in for 200 $1's - dibs! :banghead:

As of 5am this morning I got him down to 24 out the door. Sorry but for me it’s still too much. U guys can handle it from here. I don’t play quarters here in California. Zero use for this set. I would buy it to help but it needs to be spoken for and I don’t need the extra $60. Glad to help on this one. The day I pay $250 for a rack of live quarters somebody needs to check my temperature.

Well, that might make $2,200 (or lower) possible for in person. Which could bring the fracs to $2.10 (or even $2.00) per chip...

In some casinos, it can cost you $3 apiece to harvest quarters over time, buying them from players at the pai gow tables (and avoiding management). My Greektowns were like that, and took me a solid week...

Double face value + is the rule among the last two years' new members....

Deff not my rule. But then again I lived in Las Vegas and I like to travel and Things are only worth what people are willing to to pay for them. To each his own! I’ve met quarter guys who think I’m uber crazy paying $15 for a vinny hundo.

That’s awesome. I respect that grind/hustle and LOVE IT! Keep up the good work. I guess I’ve always been a nightclub guy where I flash the corner of a blue bird and see what that stirs up. Just did it last weekend at a 4/8 limit game with a dub. Walked out with a bike tire $2 rack. Took me less then 15 min @ 10% markup, minus the hands I lost. Your way seems like more fun. When my kids are grown I’ll be right there with ya! =)

Not great, but not too bad. $2,400 in-person cash confirmed (I didn't see the whole eBay message at first). So, that could be (see updated break-out below). I'd still try to negotiate for $2,300. He's been trying to sell for some time now.

If my “friend” could get $275 for a few racks of quarters and snappers. And $225 for the $1’s. It might peak his interest. And loose barrels at $75. Or just barrels only at $60. Shipping included. It might be worth “his” while
