These chips are in good condition but all of them have pink stains. It is hard to remove the stains. I have them for sale for $49 per rack.

Nice, just scooped up 2 racks! I'll give them a good clean when I get them and post a picture on this thread if its still up.
Also caved and ordered a few racks, but instead of cleaning them I have the thought of leaning into the fact they are a bit pink to begin with. Perhaps dyeing more pink and relabeling them to become fracs would be an idea. They are inexpensive enough to experiment with anyways

So I saw a few posts about dyeing chips on the forums here already, anyone have a more comprehensive guide for that as well as murder/relabeling?

I would give them a soak for 10-15 minutes in Oxy-clean with warm water to try and get them whiter…before resorting to try and dye them pink.
The used primary HSI $1 chips I had were yellowed slightly and I had to do 2 or 3 soaks in Oxy-clean, but they got MUCH whiter. A little mineral oil brought back the color to the edgespots that inevitably fade when exposed to Oxy-clean.

I won't say resorting to doing so, as my intention is to make pink-ish fracs out of them. I think clay being quite porous, a water based paint/dye should do the trick

A while back, another member tried staining them…but the result was that the stain does not penetrate much, if at all:

Thanks for the tip. I started a thread in the custom chip section looking for more info. Yeah so far staining/dyeing doesn't seem to be recommended. Perhaps air brush is also an idea. I also saw a post where someone used a sharpie with okay result https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/dying-poker-chips.8040/

Edit: looking at that stained chip again, it is not even that bad either

I think the acidic route, vinegar and salt for example, or a weak muriatic acid, or maybe even lemon juice might be better than the oxidizer. Some of the other stains on chips seem to be more from oxidation and therefore a reduction might be better.

My rack was delivered today. The staining wasn't bad in my opinion, but I can see someone more OCD than I am being triggered. The dirt/hooker juice on the sides bothered me more, but oxyclean, and a sonic scrubber took care of that. Well worth the price!

Pics ? And I assume you are talking about a UltraSonic lol

Received my racks in the mail yesterday. Packaging on point!! Very impress. The stain wasn’t that bad, will post a pic when I’m home later. About 11 hours from the time of this post. If you’re in the border of getting a rack, do it.
