Some history on these were brought to my attention. I didn’t know much about these chips other than clay, whatcha see is whatcha get.

That said, for your knowledge on these:

“They were actually made by GPI (who owns Paulson) on their no-mold lammer mold, and distributed as semi-customizable Gemaco promotional chips.

Both the “Elite and Monaco” sets were designed by Apache and ordered from Gemaco for resale. @Tommy also had a large PCF Tournament set made, some of which were sold on PCF to members.”

Hope this helps!

I thought about mentioning this. A few of us actually gave Apache a probably unnecessary ration of shit (I think this happened on Rainman’s site, not here) for marketing them as Paulsons when technically they weren’t. But does “technically” really matter? Compressed clay chips made by the company that makes Paulsons, in the factory that makes Paulsons, using the equipment that makes Paulsons, with likely the same clay used to make Paulsons - if it walks like a duck and it sounds like a duck, does it matter what you call it?
