Yes, the hotstamps are all quite worn and similar to the ones pictured, but still readable. They are no longer shinny though.

Having and playing with a set of Chipco for more than 10 years now, I will not part with them for anything. Favorite set for my guest players and I must admit, to myself too.

If you go the china clay route, be aware that they were (are?) a lot more brittle than your plastic chips or real clay chips. Not saying that they are not up to multiples games in normal conditions, but they will break/chip more easely. Here are some china clays samples I got couple years back...

I'm looking forward to relabel some hotstamped Paulson THC chips. I already ordered some labels samples from Gear, but will probably end up going with the laminated labels for durability. I'm planning to mill the chips to remove the hotstamps and get enough reccess depth to accept the laminated...

Thanks, I will try with real TSP on samples and will see what happens. Does real TSP is more/less aggressive i.e. should I reduce/increase bath time proposed in OP?

I just read the whole tread but still cant say for sure if I can safely and efficiently use real tsp (trisodium phosphate) over the one recommended in the OP, the fake tsp (sodium metasilicate). I’m asking because the real tsp is available in every hardware store near me, but cant find the fake...
