Chipco chips, are they still available ? (2 Viewers)

Found this Chipco Crystal Oyster Casino sample set & some randos today. This was one of Chipco's original fantasy lines that they offered.

CI = Chipco International

Having and playing with a set of Chipco for more than 10 years now, I will not part with them for anything. Favorite set for my guest players and I must admit, to myself too.

Regarding the availability of Chipco blanks via ABC / BR Pro, here it is straight from the horse's mouth, just now, regarding the Super Poker World group buy that's going on right now:

To answer a couple questions we were tagged in here:

All chips are printed on our ABC (regular) blanks unless Chipco blanks are requested (all Tiki chips are on ABC, not Chipco). The one exception to that is the Nevada Jacks Skulls, Saloon Series and Desert Sands, which are printed on a third, textured blank.

Chipco chips are in very low supply and will be discontinued once we run out, so keep in mind you will not be able to add on to your set later. First come first serve, and you can email us at chip@brpropoker.com to request an order on Chipco blanks. Pricing is 20 cents per chip above standard 39mm pricing.

So. If anyone wants Chipco customs, get 'em quick or get 'em never.

They are running out of blanks. Not a lot left.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Gene acquired the original CHIPCO molds from Palm Gaming during their liquidation. That's how he came to own the molds for the original CHIPCO chip trays. If that's the case, then he can't "run out" (per say). But rather, he's simply deciding not to sell them to the public (in which case Saoliver's theory that he's reserving them exclusively for casino customers makes sense).

The molds for the Chipco chip blanks were not acquired by PGI -- they were/are retained and used by Game On (GOCC) and the new Chipco company.

There's also the matter of the original Chipco material composition formula, even if one had the injection molds....

This is just one (not very smart) man's opinion, but I don't know what ChipCo is going to give you that either BRPro or Tina can't if one has that ceramic itch.
