Had to quote one of the funniest movies ever. This WAS a nice sample set.

I keep lowballing every time it gets relisted. Hoping the seller gets tired of me and accepts my offer. If you are patient you can put this set together in decent shape for the asking price +/- a few bucks. For sun-faded chips I'm not anywhere close to that. No way.

Love that quote and agree - one of the funniest movies ever.

??? Those are one of the best chips ever produced for a casino. My humble opinion of course, and I'm looking for one of those $500's fo my sample set, if anyone has one.

Just a matter of personal taste. The edge spot pattern and more so the colour combos are not pleasing to my eye. Ultimately though, ALL TR Kings are awesome! (y)

then $75, then $72, then $70 today...

Serious question, what is a ballpark free market value for these six chips? I may make a third offer and increase my last offer by a little, but I don't want to get out of line, you know?

It's really hard to say their value as they are so damaged. Personally if I didn't have the chips already, I would value the $.50, and $100 @ $4, the $1, $5 and $25 @ $2, and the $500 @ $15.

So I wouldn't pay more than $30 for the set and even then I'd have a hard time with it unless I was going to use the chips in some project like embed them in a table rail, chip box lid or something where only one side would be displayed.

I would advise to buy good condition chips one at a time and spread the cost out. You'll be happier in the long run, and all but the $500 can be readily found in good condition on eBay and thechipboard.

@Jackstraw would be the best qualified to estimate the value of a sample set (and the $500 specifically) in very good condition.

My offers were $30 and $33, both rejected, so you and I are in close agreement to the prices. On the bright side, if you had these and needed a coin to flip, you could say "call it in the air, bright or faded" and it would work.
