I don't think I've seen anyone here with a set of Nob Hill Paulson but I could be wrong.

I think they were another Paulson fantasy line, never seen a full set anywhere
Are they? Maybe it's shadows, but in one of the pictures, it looks like they might be labels with something under them.

look closely at the second picture (the close up). the pressed surface texture clearly extends without interruption across the inlay and clay.

No, those are real factory inlays. You can tell by the cross-hatching -- there's no interruption across the face of the chip.

EDIT: yeah, what FCCDAD said :) (jinx!)

Gear...as to our earlier conversation...any issues with relabeling these? Been looking for a grey chip forever. Thinking about this and the 1995 WSOP Buy In Chip for the Cleveland re-label.

Pop out that inlay, they'll take labels great.

Nope. You should be able to put an unlaminated label on those with no trouble.

Or that, if you want a laminated label :) No need to remove the existing inlays for unlaminated, though.

Not quite the same mold as HSC but good enough

These are SCV hat-and-cane which is the same as the Horseshoe Cleveland snapper. The rest of the Horseshoe chips are RHC (though not the oversize chips, obv.)

Found out some info on these. Nob Hill Casino was a very small Casino attached to a truck stop and was being built (added on) and chips ordered when the building caught fire during construction. They scrapped the project after the fire and some of the chips got into circulation.

Incidentally, the chip is the exact same mold and color as the Casablanca grey hundos (hat tip @Gear for getting these to me)I now have both and can't decide which to use on the re-label project.

Might be the only picture in history with grey $25 and $100 chips together. Ha!

You could use both to have primary and secondary versions.

If these are going with your Horseshoe Cleveland set, I like the Nob Hill chips better. The $1 and $5 chips in the Cleveland set also both have 3 edge spots, and also the Casablanca chips look to have some overlay onto the mold with the white inlay which may cause some additional issues with labeling, especially with black labels.

Not sure where you got this info, but pretty sure the chips you have were not produced by Paulson for an actual casino.

Looks like the Casablanca's have that super-grand (or whatever they call it) sized inlay, which makes it a lousy candidate for relable.

Actually - is that a grand size inlay on a THC chip? Weird.

It's not completely terrible, if the label you're putting on has a white background. The factory inlay is sliiiiiiiiiiiightly bigger than the recess, which is a bizarre design decision IMO, but more workable for relabelling than a "normal" giant inlay which goes well into the mold.

This is correct. Putting a black label on a Casablanca chip that has the slightly-too-big inlays will look pretty bad.

Interesting chip I came across tonight. Is this not the identical chip?
