I've had a few, and these threads are fun - so fire away!

Background
I host a monthly tournament league game, plus multiple random pickup cash games, when the head of the Windy Crest Gaming Commission allows. I've been running games every month since June of 2015. My max is 20 - 2 tables of 10. I'd love to grow this, but the space I have is limited. I do an annual 4 table tourney when the head of the Windy Crest Gaming Commission is out of town.

So let's have it - ask me anything!

No joke, we met online, chatted for a couple of weeks, and then met. I moved in a couple of weeks later and never left. We got married about 16 months later.
(In Vegas, with an Elvis Impersonator)

Funny story. About 3 months into our relationship, she said "Our neighbor, Pete, is having some guys over for a poker game. You should go and introduce yourself, bring the beer that I bought you, and have a great time" So here I was, walking down the alley with a 12 pack of beer to a "man play date" my then girlfriend set up. Flash forward 7 years later - and I now have a poker room, where Pete is my longest standing regular.

Yes. Once. It was a pick up game after a school charity event - Dad's Dive Bar Crawl. We rented a bus and hit up 3 or 4 local dives. We decided to come to my house after for some poker. This one Douche Bag thought he was the king of poker, knew everything. A couple of guys busted out, and we wanted to make room at the table, so I told everyone to slide left or right. Apparently he thought he was entitled to his seat - meaning the 24 square inches he was currently residing in. He flipped shit about this being his spot - yadda yadda yadda. I finally told him to slide da faq down, and he did. A few hands later he tosses a $20 chip out to someones $10 raise. Action goes around, and we make change. He then flips out how this is a Raise to $20 and any idiot who has played poker knows this. Argues with everyone at the table about every casino in Vegas, yadda yadda yadda. I had it at this point, and said "Dude, you can STFU and play by the rules in my house, or GTFO. He did not STFU and was escorted out by me and two other guys.

tldr; He was a drunk asshole, and I do not deal well with drunk assholes.

Favorite beer you've ever had on tap?

Honestly? My buddies home brew - an aged Oktoberfest. It's probably my favorite style of beer, and this brew would have won a medal at the GABF.

For local beers - my favorite would have been Yellow Rose IPA from Lone Pint Brewing in Magnolia, TX. Their kegs are super hard to get, and it's a fantastic, yet simple, Texas IPA.

The quickest floated keg in my games would be Tupps Juicepack, a hazy IPA that goes down real smooth. It's on regular rotation at the WCPR - a real crowd pleaser.

What was the absolute worst bluff you've seen that worked?

Ha! The worst bluff was by a 15 year old kid who joined into the cash game after one of my MTT deepstack events. His dad was playing and we let the kids join with their own money. He was in the hand with 3 or 4 others, and was smooth betting/calling on all streets. The river comes out and there is a bet facing him. He tanks, and then declares "I guess I am all in". Action folds around, and he wins the pot. He then flips his cards over to show a 9/2o and says "I didn't have shit". Cashes out $120+ on his $30 buy-in. The girls behind him were swooning. He was a rock-star in that moment of his life.

I don’t know histories from CT, etc. We’re you a chipper then? My guess is Pete only comes over cuz you stole his players and his game.

I started in 2015 - I did have a CT profile, but it was already dead. My first set was Milano. Then I went custom ceramic, then a cash LCO set. I'm done.

Pete ran a terrible home game. Dice chips, doubling blinds every level, yadda, yadda, yadda. He's quite happy not hosting.
