Have there been any recent reviews on the GPI Monacos, and how they've been holding up? I bought a sample not too long ago, but I'm still exploring other options, namely the Key Wests.

I have a small set of Monacos and a large set of PCF promo chips (the same thing) and they're been holding up fine - despite a few games, they look like new. Having said that, we're not talking extreme usage but I haven't seen a single complaint about their durability.

One thing to note though is that is appears GPI have stopped making promo chips so once the current stock is gone, they're gone for good.

I’ve been told the Monaco’s are going out of production. Best grab them while you can. I have a set and I love them. :)

Monaco and Key West are both solid quality options. Just depends on what you like more.

Thanks for all the responses. My only gripe with my sample of Monacos is that it seems like it's mostly made of plastic inlay, with the outer edge being clay. They Key Wests seem like solid pieces of clay.

The Monacos do feel nice, but I guess the massive inlay is where the cost savings are from?

The Monacos are solid clay chips, the inlay is only a label. It's the same as the Key West label, just bigger so there's less clay touching your hand.

They Key Wests are made by CPC and the $1 chips are a bargain. But if you're spending that money, it's not that much different to go with your own custom set where you can pick the mold, colours, inlays etc
