Poker Chip Denoms for Hosting BOTH Poker and Blackjack? (1 Viewer)

I'm helping a buddy with a small casino night for his birthday, and wondering what setup would be easier to implement...

A] $0.25s, $1s, $5s, $25s

or

B] $0.25s, $1s, $2.50s, $5s, $25s

Is there an argument for using one setup over the other? Pros/cons?

If I stick with "A" I only need one set for the poker and BJ tables. But BJ hits will need more chips on payouts. If I go with "B" I then need to bring in another denom to the setup.

I'm open to all thoughts, suggestions, concerns...

Good point.

POKER: .25/.50 blinds. May increase to .50/1.00 as the booze flows and rebuys occur.
BJ: Haven't gotten this far yet. Probably min. bets of $2 or $3.

If you have fracs you won’t need snappers.

You only really need snappers if the BJ bets are $5 or higher. Even then, quarters are fine, just more chips. And you can keep coloring up quarters if a player gets a bunch.

Set min bets of $2 for blackjack and can only bet in even amounts. Then you don’t need fracs. If bets are made in odd amounts, payout is rounded down for blackjack payouts only.

If this is just a fun thing, then increase the blackjack payouts to 2:1 for blackjack and 3:1 for insurance. If you want to simulate a casino as closely as possible, then rob everybody as soon as they walk in the door.
