Tip: how about having one sale page, with options for adding all of the denominations in the sale, which actually shows the quantities remaining?? This would make the process a little bit less of a guessing game/lottery!

Just wanted to point out that this is likely much more complex than you're making it sound. Should the counts of each chip update in real time? It's not a trivial thing to create an automated system which can reliably communicate rapidly-changing data to the user. And if the counts are not live, this isn't really much better than the current system, as the numbers change so quickly that once the page is loaded the data is already obsolete.

That said, I appreciate your post. Honest feedback from knowledgeable customers is a valuable thing to any company. Given what I've read, I agree that the current setup seems to be a weak point in the process. Props to you for communicating that clearly without falling into boo-hoo territory.

I appreciate the feedback. I will be working on a better solution.

Just pulled them out of the box before the baby needed me, so this is all I have right now.

They need a nice cleaning, but overall the condition is good!

after a TCR sale (and first to post with all of us waiting)....it's pr0n > baby
in all other cases the inverse

Tip to my hat for you chip brother
Congrats on the purchase :)

Ps. Jim already has Godlike status...if all would feedback his PM-box would explode I guess :)

@TheChipRoom shipstation will change your life. Stick with it. It's incredible. Automation rules and stuff are legit. I run ecom 45k+ orders a year and can't imagine life without it.

As for a better solution to these crazy fast fire sales, nearly all of the more sophisticated ecom solutions will have their problems. Woocommerce, Shopify.. both are known to oversell items (especially woocommerce) when you have hundreds of simultaneous orders. We typically have to hold product back when we have big releases (put less than we actually have online, allowing for the site to oversell some) and cross our fingers we can fulfill everything that comes in.

Your system might be clunky now.. but.." upgrading "is probably just trading one set of problems for another.

I am doing a demo of ship station. For some reason, they did not send out shipping confirmations. I will get it set up correctly before the next sale.

Jim
No problem here, just wanted to make sure they were on route and I could start the process of eagerly awaiting the shipment.

We are lucky to have @TheChipRoom offering us the possibility to enjoy great /chips sets at nice price.

It’s really sad to see people profiting from Jim’s offerings to make a few bucks...

I know that anybody can do whatever he wants with the chips he bought but I don’t find this behavior « ethic ».
I think sample sets in any form is just spreading the love. I’m not sure of the conversion, but it doesn’t seem insanely inflated pricing either.
