Hello from Madison, WI (1 Viewer)

Hello, welcome to the community!!!! Step one is now complete, time to search for some threads that make you go *WTF am I reading???* and leave your best input! Haha no need to be anti social here most of us are pretty outwardly opinionated

Always good to have more Wisconsin members!

@Trihonda is also in the Madison area if you're looking for a good local game. (And I hear he's got some nice chips.)

Welcome aboard. Make sure to tell us about your current setup. Pics are always appreciated. We love pics. :)

Madison has a very active poker community! So it’s possible we’ve played together? What games do you frequent?

Not gonna try to hijack your thread but welcome, I just joined a couple months ago, just north of Madison.

Thank you for the warm welcome. I moved to Madison about 2 years ago, but have only been involved in the poker community there for the last 6-9 months or so.

As for setup I am just using the 14g Plastics so far, but I am looking to upgrade to a set of ceramics or china clays (not quite ready to invest in Paulson's yet). I have upgraded to Kem cards and have a really nice table covering (water/beer proof) that we have been using. I live on lake Monona, so in the summer months I have been hosting, Poker, Scotch and Cigars on the patio overlooking the lake.

So far I have hit up the meetup games in Madison, and I we now have a core group that we are looking to kick off a year long season (tourney's with cash side games when you get out), where you score points based on ranking over the year with an additional payout at the end of the year for the 'season' winners.

Always looking for new games, or if anyone wants an invite into our small but growing group in the Madison area, please send an invite.

Looking forward to learning more and getting more involved!

welcome aboard! I love the sound of Madison and in general, I've met amazing nice PCF members from Wisconsin. Great poker state it seems.

Hahahahaahahahaha:ROFL: :ROFLMAO::ROFL: :ROFLMAO::ROFL: :ROFLMAO:

The fact you use the word "yet" at the end of a statement like that...means you are already stuck with a foot in the top of a real deep rabbit hole...and I'm certain you are going to fall in.

good luck with not getting Paulsons yet...

I had this same thought when I signed up...$1/chip??!! What a rip off I thought. These people are "scrub donkey idiots";):ROFL: :ROFLMAO:...and here I am...$10k in a hole in a room typing this message surrounded by chip racks...packaging material...and Paulsons galore. Just 5 months ago I had a similar set to the one you have pictured.

yep...I'm a scrub donkey...

My issue with the Paulsons is more of a mental block.. Its tough to justify $1-$2 a chip when you are only playing for quarters :tdown: then again, the 'yet' was intentional ;)
