In on next secret group buy (4 Viewers)

So I heard back from Tommy and there really isn't a good method to do what I was hoping for. This was a solo project and not a group buy. I employed Toby to help me with design. The inlay was 100% Toby. Without him I would have made a much more boring set. I was originally looking at knocking off the "Ambassador Plaza" inlay which he talked me out of. I have shared the colors and totals in the auction thread. I will try to be as forthright as possible to avoid creating division and speculation. I am not interested in discussing the nitty gritty of the how.

A thought I have been stewing over for a bit...

Have a meet-up in a casino friendly jurisdiction. Instead of having home games, commit to having x amount of players play x amount of hours on a private table(s). Have the casino host the main event tournament and stipulate that we have commemerative cash and tournament chips made. Only those in attendance could participate in the buy and limit the amount allowed to be ordered so there aren't people buying 20,000 chips to flip.

Obviously there a lot of things left out, but card rooms make commemorative chips all the time.
That was @sleepypiggly idea years ago. Too bad he’s not around as he had a GPI connection.

State gaming regs would have to allow the chips to be sold after the event...that wouldn't fly in Vegas, for example.

I have messaged Tommy about a way to address the forum in a semi-private way. I don't mind sharing some background but I don't want it to be all Google searchable just floating around on the internet.

I will be straightforward and share as much as I can.
In.

Can I be a back-up to the back-up?

Also, this is the only contact information I could find for Angel if you want to try going that route (I'm assuming that this is part of Angel's Holding). I emailed once previously and never heard back. Tried contacting again today and the website kept crapping out.

Located in Tukwila, WA. 20 minutes from me. Maybe someone could stop in with a wad of cash and ask for some custom chips? :ROFLMAO:

I would love to be in as previously stated and could easily order 3000 chips.

in for $15k

Just an observation, but money isn't the issue. To get something like this done drive and connections go further in my opinion. I could raise the funds in minutes, but I and others would need help opening doors and working out details.

In for sure. Keep us not on the pm posted with any major updates? Let me know if I could help at all.

Just remember that it's pointless to order a custom set without a full color sample in your hands, and a chip design tool at your disposal.
If these two requirements were met, I guess that 50x [1200 cash plus 800 tourney] chips would be realistic, even with different labels (who knows).

Anyway, with the excellent level of cooperation offered by CPC, my wildest dream would be about CPC offering more colors and edge-spot styles, rather than about the "people" at GPI communicating with me.
Profound respect and congrats to those of you who did the latter successfully.:D
