In on next secret group buy (3 Viewers)

I believe I had read that GPI stops using a color/spot pattern once a casino picks them.

Wonder if someone said to GPI; "Look, Lakeshore Inn has been closed for 40 years so no one is using those chips anymore. You have blocked any other casino from ever using those spots/color patterns again. Why not let us use them in the home market? Guarantee a min 100k chip order for them if you do.".

I have thought about this approach as well. The big top, AS, ES, whatever chips can never be printed again for a casino due to security issues. Why not let us order the base chips with a different or same label since they can't make money off of those color combos anymore, but I have also heard they don't care about our money as it is a drop in the bucket compared to what they make from Casinos and that they will never sell us chips again, yet it keeps happening.

I feel we could easily top the chip count for Jacks Detroit in a site wide group buy.

"and that they will never sell us chips again, yet it keeps happening."

I agree. I wish I wasn't so lazy as the "it will never happen again" keeps getting proven wrong by motivated chippers.

That isn't really the problem from what I hear. The casinos do NOT want GPI printing chips for the masses, so if the casinos find out all these paulsons are getting out they might not order from GPI anymore. I doubt this, but that is the narrative I have seen around before. GPI doesn't want to risk their massive contracts with casinos over a relatively small order for the home market. Yet people found a way again. Hopefully the story comes out soon and inspires more people.

that right there is a very good angle !! :cautious:

Seems like a route would be to buy or partner with a failing card room that has a gaming license. If we order 100k chips @ $1.25, but all pay $2/chip we have about $75k to work with. Gaming license is 15kish, but I would think a failing card room would jump at the chance for a 50-75k payday.

PCF should just open an actual card room with a real license and order chips whenever we want.... It could be a front or an actual operating card room.

I'd love to be part of the next GPI heist. I've got lots of time on my hands lately if there's some legwork that needs to be done. Not sure what that looks like but I'd be willing to contribute time and effort for the greater good.

I think people have figured this part out.

I've been trying to contact card rooms and casinos listed for sale to see if I can find a taker. No luck so far. Maybe you can find one

That would be a route, the thing is we might have to open the actual card room, otherwise the gaming license is tough. There is also application fees so if we just tried to get a license for a fake card room we would have some risk

Do you think it's safe to assume that the latest group buy chips were also for a VIP/special charity/convention and not really for a "fake" casino (floating or otherwise)? I thought it was a requirement from GPI that chips must have a location somewhere on the chips?

Unless GPI assumes those were legit casinos and protects Boat/Big Top/Pooping Parrot colors and spot patterns like any other casino...

I thought that is how the BTP/Harley/Truman sets were made? Well that's what I remember reading anyway.

I think so, but a higher up found out and shut it down. There were a few orders in the group that did not make it through so that avenue may be closed.
