What would that game be like. Where everyone buys in with a set of chips and winner takes all
This is actually a pretty cool idea.Have the group playing come up with a set of customs for the event. Everyone pays for the cost of their own starting stacks. Winner takes them all home.

I think it could have some potential. Doesn't have to be a crazy set or anything plus it would take the place of a trophy. This is actually a pretty cool idea.

Horrible, horrible idea. Clearly none of you have ever tried to design a custom set by committee. This is a fantastic idea

I thought about that too. Keep it simple and meet up host gets the final say.Horrible, horrible idea. Clearly none of you have ever tried to design a custom set by committee.![]()
I like your positive attitude. I would buy in to this idea if someone was to run with it.I thought about that too. Keep it simple and meet up host gets the final say.
Or, a portion of the buy in goes towards the cost of the set designed by the host.
One way or another it could work out.
I'll watch from the sidelines and be the first to say I told you so when the design phase explodes.I thought about that too. Keep it simple and meet up host gets the final say.

If I ever run a meet up (which is unlikely), I'll do it, and it will work out just fine.I'll watch from the sidelines and be the first to say I told you so when the design phase explodes.![]()

Me, too -- all the chips on the table, winner take all.
I work with a group that has done this every year for the last 20 years. And it takes about 6 months.Horrible, horrible idea. Clearly none of you have ever tried to design a custom set by committee.![]()
