You can remove the labels and relabel with almost anything, i.e. a label you drew up or a copy of an existing label. These chips had a stamp on the label that someone cleaned off but after the hot stamp they were pretty bad. I don’t like destroying chips that are rare or have a lot of value with their original label but if there’s a million of a chip out there (or in this case the label was already destroyed) I don’t think it’s bad. Others might disagree. You can also label over existing labels so the chip is still intact but usually they don’t look as good. Also some people like a set of chips except for one denomination so they will replace it with another chip and relabel it to that set.
