I am staying with my parents down in Englewood FL for a few days and we have been doing a lot of fishing. I am pretty sure I’m less than half an hour from where K9 doc lives. My dad ain’t much for pictures he is strictly business on the water but we are eating trout tonight and I have caught some nice snook and a few reds. Here is a pic of the best red today.

WOW..............I'm getting hammered at work. Nice to see one of us having a good time.

Grats on the catch

Welcome (at least temporarily) to the best time of year to visit Florida - mostly past the summer heat and before the winter rains.

Sure that will be moved to another thread. But also if you’re applying for a new position probably not wise to drink on the job. :)

I just realized that I'm working from home on a Friday before a three-day weekend and I'm not drinking. What the hell is wrong with me?

Nice redfish (y)

You are just down the coast from me. Let me know if you make it up to the Sarasota/Bradenton area and we can try to grab a cold beer.

Unfortunately I go home tomorrow but thank you. Boy was the weather beautiful this week.

Beautiful Red!!!

My dad has basically been fishing these waters 4-5 days a week for over 20 years. He really knows his stuff when it comes to inter-coastal shallow water fishing. It is like having a private tour guide and these fish fight so much better than what I catch in Michigan. He even tries to give the fish an edge by no barbs on his hooks and no treble hooks allowed, only single hooks for easier catch and release.
I had a good sized shark swim right in front of me while I was wading and casting Thursday, that had my attention.
