My Nine Dragon Turbo Tourney set played last night... it went typically for a set owner. :(

Starting stacks were T50,500 with opening blinds of 500/1000. I flopped a pair of aces with a queen kicker, and couldn't get away from it... worked hard to shake off draws, things quickly escalated and ended up all-in... and a set of snowmen (888) took me down.

Out in the first hand.

But it was a great first Turbo with the set!

Hey, p5woody... Now that we've all got our chips, is there anything you would change/tweak about them?

If it were me, I'd:

1. Re-work or eliminate the gradient on the banners. The dark ink mixed in at the edge seems to have a green cast to it, so I'd want to re-work the color in the gradient, or eliminate it altogether.
2. I'd alter the color of the gold dragon a touch to make it more "gold" and less "lemon..." although my nieces prefer the Lemon Dragon.

Also, I'm already considering doubling the size of my Tourney set. Anybody know when Game On is going to start offering these for regular sale?

I'm not home, so going off memory.

Yes, there would be a few things I would change now that I see them in person. or at least try out to see how they look.
1) The gradient didn't turn out quite the way I expected, I would need to play around with a few things to see what i could do to improve it.
2) I like the yellow, it came out a little lighter then expected but looks good with the set.
3) I actually liked the color matched denomination error, I would try color matching all of them to see how they would look.
4) The rolling edge I would try black denomination instead of gold.
5) I would personally darken the red $5 a little bit

None of these things bother me, I love the chips. I haven't played with them yet so will have better idea of what I would change after playing with them. Once mixing them in pots and getting other comments there could be other things.

Yeah, it looks good on the orange, and - bonus for me - it means I have 100 total instead of 50, just half have red denoms.

I think I'm going to double the starting stacks in my 10/50/40/10 set (1/5/4/1/ stacks) of T100/T1000/T5000/T25000 by using the orange-denom error chips and buying 90 more T5000 chips... making it 10/100/130/10 (1/10/13/1 stacks.) Bonus: 25 chip T100,000 stack, with one 25,000 gold dragon for each person. (The single T500 is optional, depending on whether we want to start the Turbo structure 50 BB or 100 BB.)

Received my chips today but unfortunately no 25c chips were included, which is too bad since I have a set in progress using that color and can't decide Game On or PGI. Chips not as vibrant as some pics here show, but very nice.

Pink quarter is killer, imo - maybe the best chip in the set. I have a spare, I'll send it to you.
 
my sample set should be in in the next day or two, they seem to have been very well received here so looking forward to getting to check them out.

just got my samples! need to play with them more to get a real feel for them but first impressions wow... I like a lot. I LOVE that dealer button! bigger then the other dealer buttons I've picked up, much bigger and it would be pushing too big, thats just about the best size i think. and the art is amazing! Sorry i missed the group buy, might just be buying a set anyway later this summer when i have some extra $$
 
Note - I'm liable to expand my set by 90 pieces in the next month or two. If someone wants to pool with me to make the 250 minimum order size, let me know. (Or if you're making a big order and are willing to let me add on...)
